The shadows around our nose and mouth are usually what bring us in for treatment, but I think of the nasolabial folds and marionette lines as symptoms of other changes going on in the face. In a world of Groupon deals and discounters of Botox trying to compete with price by “cc” of product or per syringe, one must ask what you are getting for your money. When you expect services by world renowned providers, in premier locations, luxury facilities and the highest paid staff to treat you in a manner deserving of your money, perhaps they too deserve to be valued by their worth. The discount culture in aesthetics marketing cultivated by “competitive” providers is developing a bargain hunting patient mentality who want services “price matched”. We get calls asking about price per syringe of a product, and we would like to politely respond “How much is your appearance worth? How many years experience and what skill level do you want your provider to have before they inject you? What is the value of your safety? Do you mind if we give you discounted results?” I’m concerned, but I’m not complaining, because I am fixing a great deal of these “great deals”

The importance of a good assessment. While doing a consult for a Halo on a women’s chest I noticed a lesion and brought it to her attention. The lesion was biopsied and sent out to pathology. It was a basal cell carcinoma. We will laser her when she recovers and remove the scar if she is left with one.
