Trying something new... . As you can imagine I am always on the hunt for new ideas, fresh layouts, new colour palettes and creative camera angles. Sometimes these things just happen and other times it can be a little slow going . This layout that we created for @jaimelesmacarons_ recently is something that we have done before for sure but this time I just tried snapping it from a different angle as all the other ones I have shot top down, pretty happy with this result I have to say! . Once I figured out this angle was a winner I stood a couple of the macs up so that you could see them from all the angles which also creates a little bit more depth . In case you didn't figure out from the shot these macs are lemon, meringue pie flavour... this is one of my absolute favourite sweet combinations so imagine my excitement at all that tart and sweet goodness being combined into one perfect little sweet treat . • grateful for where I’m at, excited about where I’m going ✨⚡️ 〰️ Following on from last night’s post and inspired by a chat with megababe Julia from @independentgirlscollective ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ 〰️ A little over two years ago I walked away from a job that was making me sick. I don’t think I grasped just how close I was to a complete and utter burnout. The anxiety, the agonising pain in my entire body + the dread that never left me. It’s only now looking back, I remember how much I tried to ignore all the signs + kept telling myself it would get better (spoiler alert: it never EVER did) 〰️ So one Wednesday lunchtime I came home and typed up my resignation letter That euphoric feeling when I handed my notice in was quickly chased by panic and dread I didn’t have a plan. I didn’t have my next file lined up. But what I did have was headspace, less anxiety + little to no pain. As a teenager I knew becoming my own boss / working for myself was endgame. I just didn’t know how I was going to get there ‍♀️ 〰️ It’s not the route I’d have chosen, but then when does anyone choose the long way to anything!? Wisst ihr, was der Unterschied zwischen meinem Haus und Instagram ist? Mein Haus ist weiß, geschmückt mit Vogelkacka und Instagram ist bunt. Das wars auch schon. Ich mache die Tür auf und weiß nie, was ich zuerst machen soll. Jeder Raum gibt mir andere Aufgaben, Denkanstöße, Inspirationen. Während ich so durchlaufe, treffe ich auf Müllhaufen. Ich begegne hier und da neuen Dingen, die ich nicht kannte und jemand ins Haus geschleppt hat. Ab und an läuft mir ein sehr liebenswerter Mensch über den Weg. Manchmal betrete ich einige Räume für Wochen nicht, weil sie mich nicht interessieren. Manchmal macht mir das Chaos zu schaffen und ich bringe Ordnung rein. Ich würde nie auf Idee kommen, an einem Müllhaufen vorbei zu gehen, gegen den Sack zu treten und mich aufzuregen, warum er hier liegt. Ich habe ihn doch eigens hier angehäuft und es macht mich ja selbst ganz dreckig und lässt mein Haus nicht gut aussehen, wenn alles durch die Gegend fliegt. Ich würde nie auf Idee kommen, mich in meinem eigenen Haus zu zwingen, anders zu sein, besser zu sein, als Andere oder gar Hass in meine eigenen vier Wände zu bringen. Warum sollte ich also hier, stolpernd über einen Post oder einen Account, der mir nicht passt, meiner Wut freien Lauf lassen? Beim nächsten Müll rausbringen weg damit. Warum sollte ich aus meinem Haus heraus auf die Fassaden der anderen Häuser gucken und ihnen aus den Blicken in die Fenster, die ich erhasche, ein perfektes Leben andichten, nur um neidisch werden, während ich selbst auch gerade aus einem Gucklock in meiner Fassade schaue. Verträumt lächelnd, im perfekten Abendsonnenlicht, das durch mein Fenster scheint. Für die Anderen ein perfekter Blick auf mein Leben, den ich ihnen gewähre. Denn meine Müllsäcke lege ich schließlich nicht direkt vorm Fenster. Aber wenn ich vom Fenster verschwinde, stolpere ich dabei trotzdem über sie, fummele gernevt meinen BH ab, schmeiß' in die Ecke, setze mein Kind vor die Glotze und stopfe mir Fertigpizza in den Bauch. Die Anderen treten in ihren Häusern genau so auf Müll und müssen entscheiden, wie sie ihr Haus gestalten, wie sich darin benehmen und was sie in ihren gepflegten Gärten der Welt zeigen wollen. #thinkaboutit
