I wanted to share a sneak peek of some other projects I have been working on I’ve been experimenting with pouring on different things other than canvases in order to see how the colors hold I am always playing around off camera and in reality you all only see what I want you to see when it comes to my works in progress ‍ I’ll share an awesome video for this unique piece tomorrow!! Can you guess what the full shape is? . . . I’m in San Diego for a batchelorette party this weekend so I won’t be as responsive to messages for a couple days. Not ignoring you, just off my phone! I spent a couple of therapeutic hours yesterday painting canvas edges. These are the first pieces heading off for framing next week @eatartpictureframing in Falmouth and are destined for my next solo show with Cornwall Contemporary Gallery in Penzance, West Cornwall later this summer. The exhibition will include over 40 new works and starts on 24th August and runs until September 21st. If you happen to be visiting Cornwall at that time please drop by! @cornwallcontemporary

Yay another friend is painted! :-) I have asked your opinion for the next animal and most of you responded that I should draw a beetle. So I chose a Rhinoceros Beetle. These animals are using the horn on their head not only to dig themselves into soil to escape danger but also to fight other males to win the hearts of the females. I guess mine will not have to fight as the female has no other choice but to fall in love. I took a workshop with the one of my all time favorite painters @feliciaforte and it was just as amazing as I hoped it would be! While I was lucky enough to have an amazing painting professor in college ( @todd.lowery ) I was definitely in need of a tune up. All the basics I started to gloss over after three years on my own came flooding back. As excited as I am to play around with these new (and refreshed) ideas, I think the best part was just watching a master paint and taking so much joy in laying down color on paper.
