Monday milestones. What milestone has your little one reached recently? . #repost @littleblessedfarmhouse . Today our bambino is six months old. SIX MONTHS! A half of a year old already! Luca currently weighs 18.4 pounds. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Everyday is a blessing with Luca and I am so thankful I am able to stay at home with him. Thank you, Derrick, for making this possible and for ALL you do for our family. Luca is so blessed to have you as his daddy. Luca’s favorite thing is still story-time. I love sitting in the rocking chair snuggled up with Luca, a blanket and some of his favorite books. We probably read 6-10 books per day! He absolutely loves reading books and LOVES turning the pages. Last week we started Baby Led Weaning and introduced foods to Luca. It only took him two days to figure out the food goes into his mouth. He loves feeding himself. At about 5 1/2 months Luca started inchworm crawling and he moves so fast! We love watching him crawl. It’s so cute! He loves being on the floor and exploring new areas of the house. We love hearing Luca giggle! His laughs bring us so much joy! He’s perfect in every way.

Hudson is still in his crib, and I have no plan to move him out anytime soon! I did however want to use his mattress for the new baby’s crib, and wanted something a little more versatile for him while he grows!! Somehow the nursery is getting close to done. It feels like magic because in a lot of ways, we haven't put much thought into getting it set up with all the other projects we have on our list before the baby arrives. I've worked on it when I'm banned from renovation projects going on downstairs because of fumes and dust or in 15 minutes blocks between work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Our favorite thing that we've gotten for her room is her crib mattress from @newtonbabyrest. That probably sounds ridiculous. We didn't know how excited we could be about a mattress made out of air instead of plastic but expecting a baby has opened our eyes to what things in our home are made out of and how the places she will spend the most time shouldn't be made out of chemicals that were too toxic for me to handle during pregnancy. That's just common sense, right? Plus this mattress is breathable. I can shove my face right into it and breathe normally which means baby girl can too if she rolls over in the middle of the night. And it's completely washable, inside and out. All the best things. Who knew that more than the color blocked walls, modern crib and super comfy glider, this would be the part of the nursery that we'd be most excited to show our friends when they come over?
