Today I’d like to share some info and tips on cutters with imprint for new followers and those who missed some of my previous posts or stories) Cutters with imprint work well with most types of dough. They cut out the outline and leave an imprint that remains after the baking. The depth of the outline is 1/2” (1,4 cm), of the impressions - 1,1 cm, so there is about 3 mm difference. They are pretty easy to use if following few easy tips: 1. Doughy shouldn’t be too thick. Optimal thickness of the dough for cutters with imprint is 3/16”-1/4” Otherwise the dough will go too deep into the cutter and it might be tricky to use. 2. For the better result dough should be cooled (if your dough is sticky please use some extra flour on the top) 3. Do not press too hard on the middle part of the cutter, just on the outline. The back of the cutter is not solid for more convenient use and to avoid vacuum inside the cutter when cutting. The walls are solid and smoothly sharpened on the edges. I’m graphic and 3D designer and I used all tricks I could to make these cutters as comfortable in use as possible, but the result also depends on the dough you use. Again, it shouldn’t be too thick for this type of cutter. You can also see more videos on usage in my Highlights.
