Today I woke up after having a really tough night. My body still went through labor and birth. Even though it was to a much smaller baby, the pains of my womb contracting back down to size, the back labor pains, and just the overall feeling of getting hit by truck are all still present. . But what hurts the most this morning was waking up to sore breasts. My body gave birth so there’s supposed to be a baby to feed, except there’s not. . Everyone keeps telling me I’m so strong for enduring what I’m going thru right now, truth is... I AM NOT... . I’m breaking down every 10 minutes, I’ve been in bed since I came home from the hospital, I can’t go out in public without having to run out to sit in the car and cry, I cry if my husband asks me if I’m hungry, I keep waking up to a non-existent crying baby or hearing children screaming. . . THE TRUTH IS I AM A MESS and that is OK! Because one day.... I will cry only once in a day, One day, I will make it thru a trip to the grocery store. One day, I can receive a hug without losing my mascara. •October 12th• One year ago today, I was 25 weeks pregnant with my little Finn when she was diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome. It was the scariest moment of my life. And there was no way of telling how severe it is in utero. Now my Finnley Marie is N I N E months old and doing so well! I love this little girl so much! This man stood by my side for 10 hours straight...And when I say stood, I mean he literally was standing next to me the entire time. No matter how many times I told him to sit down on one of the 3 chairs in the room, and even our nurse told him to lay down and take a nap, he did not move, he did not eat, because I couldn’t eat, he didn’t drink because I couldn’t. When I told him it’s ok, pull the chair next to me and sit down. His response: You’re in the bed, not able to eat or drink and in pain, about to bring us our daughter to hold before we say good bye. Standing here, holding your hand is the LEAST I can be doing right now. . . As a man that’s 1 of 6 brothers, he sure knows how to love and protect his girls! He’s the guy behind the scenes that doesn’t get enough credit on here, but if it wasn’t for him idk how I would be getting through this .
