The mother carries the lineage of love through generations. A kind of devotional fierce love that’s nurturing, gentle, courageous and unconditional. The giving and receiving nature of this love is within all of us. The mothers love is powerful. Sending love to all the mothers, the mothers of mothers and their mothers before them. This morning we spend a beautiful morning at @greenfieldsalbertpark for our Mothers Day Mindful Morning with @mashayoga @deborahaadelin and myself. My heart was bursting as I looked around the room of over 70 people to see mothers with their daughters and sons, connecting, practicing together and sharing their joy with those around them. I wanted to be a Wife and Mother more than anything but in 2011 after a terrible break-up with a man I thought I’d marry, I found myself in a church sitting in front of a Mother Mary statue. I’m not a religious person but I found myself walking to this church and laying at her feet...day after day for an entire year, asking her the same thing “please help me forgive”. Eight years later, I have a shrine on our property built by the man of my dreams, dedicated to her unconditional love, grace and generosity without limit. . ✦ She is truly our God-Mother. She is Mother Mary, Kwan Qin, Durga, Gaia, Oshun, Aphrodite...the feminine face of God. The Divine Mother’s love knows no bounds. She has the power to break our hearts open and heal us in ways unexpected and unimaginable. She melts our hearts...takes care of us when we just can’t take another step..gives to us in ways that makes us align and soar and ABLE to Mother with a full tank. Today and every day, I honor her...I love her with ALL of me. .JAI MA.... ✦ I’m cherishing my own Mother today; her courage and beauty, her deep generosity and hilariousness. I am beyond blessed to do Motherhood with my Mom’s love and guidance. I wouldn’t be able to truly SEE and honor my Mom if it weren’t for the healing and transformation from the Divine Mother’s embrace. It’s taken me a really long time to fully love and appreciate my Mom but I do now...I really do... . ✦ And I’m sending so much Love to all the Mamas today.
