Throwback time I turned on my old iPhone yesterday and got some great photos and videos. This is the first ever picture of me and the twins. Esmae is on the left and Elora on the right of picture. I think Esmae was about a minute old and Elora about 20 minutes. Overwhelmed doesn’t come close to describing how I felt. I was shocked that when each of them were born I was in absolute floods of uncontrollable tears I hadn’t expected to be even though I’m a bit of cryer . @mrsoconnor18 had been through an ordeal! We went in on the Wednesday for her to be induced and it was a full 48 hours late that they arrived she gave birth naturally but we went to theatre for the last part as the docs thought they may have to do an emergency c section (that’s why I got to wear this fetching hairnet- even though I have no hair ) I was offered a view from the business end when Elora was being born but I had to decline. I was feeling too queasy already and I honestly believe I would have fainted ! Maria was amazing throughout she really was- I don’t know how women go through it more than once! When Esmae arrived they offered me her to hold as well. This was so scary! I was terrified of dropping them. I held onto them together for long enough to take this pic. What a crazy working mum life this is! I love my job & I love my girls so it’s all about finding a balance which I’m definitely working on!
