So from a storytelling point it would fit . But of course not before we're getting some fan favourites from the comics. Cap picking up Mjolnir, the mighty "Assemble!" line and some shockers or easter eggs are totally due. But all this is so obvious, I'm already expecting some huge twists from the Russo's . Sweet drink with a bitter topping for him. But admittedly, the base is mostly for the shield look . LAST MAN STANDING . -4cl Gin @herogin_drygin -1,5cl Whisky liqueur @slyrs_bavariansinglemaltwhisky -2cl fresh lemon juice -1cl Blue Curaçao -1 dash of Absinthe Absense @saarwhisky -1 egg white . Dry shake the egg white with the spiral of your strainer in the shaker for half a minute. Spiral out, other ingredients in, add ice and shake again for a minute. Ice out and shake your arms out like a mad Titan throwing a moon. Pour into a coupe, finish with Angostura bitters for drama . Jumped the simple syrup here because there's already liqueur and the Curaçao in. But I added a dash of sugar to see what the grains do for the foam, and the result is massive and super fluffy . By now, it should be pretty clear I've taken this series not all too serious and went more for a comic approach. And somewhere, in the comments under a post I promised a Ramson Smash. Wood Garlic. Bärlauch, for you german readers. And there it is . First try was the original Basil Smash recipe by @jrgmyr just with the herb changed, but that went bad. Too sweet in the start, super weird in the finish. Less syrup made things better, but still...just no. In the end, liqueur saved the day. Yellow Chartreuse made things nicer and I can imagine this really well with the green one. Since I don't have that here I decided to go for a sweeter variant . Peppermint liqueur (note: one that's closer to tea, than that chewing gum taste) made things fresher and balanced on the sweet side. Still, that's one cringy drink, but I liked it. Decided to post it exactly because of this. First, Banners story in Endgame will be super cringy for most of the audience as far as we know. Second, how do we know if we haven't tried? Endgame Concept Drink - Thanos, the mad Titan . Post credit scene! We're done with the original six, but of course you're getting a final treat for release day. Endgame started today in Germany with cinemas exploding since midnight, and it's only a few more hours for me until the movie . Personally, there's nothing comparable in terms of "not real life stuff" anticipation for me yet. My Star Wars Episode 7 hype was nothing compared to this. And I actually managed to not spoil myself before. While Infinity War's climax was pretty obvious for those who read the comics (and I had a ton of fun watching shocked faces in the room when it happened ), we have no idea how Endgame will play out. I'd love to see the multiverse being set up, but my personal guess from the trailers is time travel shenanigans that will divide the audience. Pretty sure this will be Marvel's "Batman vs. Superman" in terms of fan backlash . For today's drink, no Gin. Thanos settled to a calm farmers live, and so we're having some classic German Korn as the base. Bilberry liqueur for the main taste, slightly bittered with Spritz syrup . And while Endgame marks the end of a 10 year journey, this drink marks the end for this series of comic thought drinks. We're back to some more serious ones now, and also brick themes besides the Avengers. Watch out for some more from a galaxy far, far away . Founder of the tag, Morten of @thecocktail.blog , delivers great recipes with each chunk of solid water. But the idea made it even to a little rant in the latest issue of @mixology . From a viewpoint that asks "does it makes any sense to do that" things look different. Which makes me wonder where we're going here . As someone who just threw a block of bricks into a coupe my point of view should be pretty obvious. Yes to the artistic approach on a visual platform but double yes to putting actual info and content below. What do you think? Adding "No-Go's" from the bartender side for artistic value and looks or straight back to usability . Get your Hulas ready! . Over the last year I tried a ton of Gins, somewhere in the 250+. And one idea that popped up quite early after seeing tons of impressive Tiki drinks on here was to adapt the concept to Gin. Not just for a few drinks, but a serious approach. With balanced drinks that work, not "just to have done it" . So I've been collecting some Gins on an own part of my homebar. Hot candidates because of their palates, from citrus to tropical to rummy. And by now, it feels like I have assembled enough stuff and ideas to officially start off #gintiki . Basic rule: Rum is okay, but Gin is the main player. Everything else? Tiki craze! . As a first try the Mai Tai base recipe is great. Switch out Rum or combine it fittingly and work further from that. It show how the whole idea works. I've been doing some of these and here's the one I liked most. With spirits not made further than 50km from my home. The lime forward Feiner Kappler Gin and the super chocolaty spiced Rum from the guys who made Needle Gin . BLACK FOREST SURF . -4cl Kaffir Lime Gin @feinerkappler -2cl Spiced Rum @woodstork_rum -2cl fresh lime juice -1,5cl Dry Curaçao @freimeisterkollektiv -0,75cl Orgeat -0,75cl Simple Syrup . Tiki Craze Full Speed ahead! . Don't have Tiki Mugs? No problem if you have a Brick Cup and can just build them in the most absurd ways. Today's take on the classic "Jet Pilot" Tiki. And did I already say "we're taking this to the lovely absurd"? . By now, I'm only missing some flower chains and a steeldrum player in the kitchen. Spent some days turning it into a Tiki lab experimenting and never expected it to be so much fun. Substituting Rums with kinda fitting Gins makes you tipsy pretty fast, but what comes out of it is just great . To clear up the concept a bit more I chose this one. The Jet Pilot is a drink you find in a lot of beginners guides or overviews about Tiki. Contrary to the Mai Tai, it's less sweet, but rather dry and warming. Substituted Jamaican Rum with the orangey @mut_gin , golden Rum with Genever and overproof Rum with...Jamaican Rum . Also keep in mind, Gin is less powerful in taste than Rum, so calculate down a bit on other stuff, especially Syrups ☝ . GALACTIC JET PILOT . -4cl Gin -1,5cl Old Genever @bythedutch -2cl Jamaican Rum @von_have -2cl fresh lime juice -2cl fresh pink Grapefruit juice -1cl Cinnamon Syrup -1 dash of Angostura Bitters -3 dashes of Absinth . Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a crushed ice filled vessel. Or pour with the ice if you don't have crushed one. Instead of a mint garnish no one will eat, brick hard .
