And then there was this project! I LOVE this book cover ❤️ It was made using the “Olga” embroidery kit in this colour and then i recorded a tutorial on how to make it into the book cover. The tutorial is in my saved stories on my profile. Have a look and you’ll see how easy it is. I’ve got only 11 of these kits left now in this mustard colour. I’m actually thinking of stitching another one and turning into a cover for a smaller A5 note book like a moleskin diary. I just love diaries and notebooks it’s almost a fetish!! I thought I would show you how I use my embroidered pieces. I always make them to be used for something never just for the sake of it. And it gives me so much pleasure to make something and then have it as part of my daily life. This bag here that you would have seen before has now been adapted as my knitting bag (cos I learned to knit a few weeks ago thanks to @handmakecreate ). Finally I am well enough to return to a regular routine and get back in touch with all you creative souls out there. . I’m currently working on low warp speed and really enjoying it. An overwhelm of business demands and my recent illness has forced me to slow down. Every day I’ve had to consciously give myself permission to do less and that it was ok to do so. And you know what, the world didn’t end when I left my inbox unattended for days, and it didn’t end when I left my sketchbooks and plans on the shelf for a while, and it certainly didn’t end when this new kit that pictured here didn’t get released on 10th June like originally planned. . It’s here now and once I’m back from Melbourne on Wednesday I’ll upload it to the shop as well as a few other goodies. . It’s nice to know that I can actually set my own pace in life, I just need to remind myself regularly that it’s ok to do that. Otherwise I end up working and living by reacting instead of responding. A wise man once said “responsibility is nothing more than our ability to respond, instead of react.” . Do you give yourself time to go at your own pace? I know it can be hard, I’m raising two teenagers and running a business so I certainly get a lot of demands thrown at me but I’m figuring out that if we don’t decide to set the pace life will run us instead of us running it. . Where are you at time and energy wise?
