These hungry pigs are brought into the field of allotments in the #Gloucestershire village of Lechlade to eat all the weeds in the patches that are either not being used or are about to have new green-fingered owners. Pickings for tonight’s dinner! A vegetable tart featuring asparagus, garlic chives, leeks and flower sprouts. Topped with a couple of cracked eggs, curtesy of the girls and a few dollops of nasturtium pesto I made last year. I’ll be serving it with some baby lettuce leaves and boiled potatoes with mint.
