Depression is different for everyone.
My depression wasn’t easy to overcome because it was my mind telling me that nothing was worth doing and I wasn’t ever going to become something, so why bother.
It took self reflection and rediscovering for me to slowly get better and become more active in my life.
I realized toxic habits that I needed to break and made daily goals for myself. Sometimes I would succeed in my goals and my day was filled with self care and healthy activity, while other times I would try but fail at my goals which then made me feel guilty, fueling my depression.
It wasn’t an instant change, more like a slow progression, until one day I didn’t feel the need to make goals because I was productive without having to force myself.
