One of the most underrated features of the EOS R/RP is the FV mode. Even now I find people who have no idea it exists on the camera. Essentially, it can be a fully manual or semi auto based on how you like. For example, use auto iso and auto SS and manual aperture to make it Aperture Priority. And it the press of one button change to to be auto aperture and auto SS with manual ISO. You might ask, why don't I just use AV or TV? Basically you can change between these modes through FB versus switching modes. Even more so, you can on the fly turn everything to manual and with the press of a button turn everything back to auto. Other arguements is that with EVF's, why shoot in semi auto anyways? Sometimes, we just aren't fast enough and having semi auto helps in getting the shot. You are not obliged to use FV, but it's there to help you get the shot you need. I did a full tutorial on using FV mode on my YouTube channel. Received some DM's talking about how the EF 50MM F1.2 sucks compared to the RF and how the RF is infinitely better. I do agree that the RF 50MM F1.2 is a superior lens is many ways. However, the EF version has a very unique look in its bokeh that the RF does not. There are a lot more aspects of the lens that makes it different but not necessarily worse. If you have the luxury, you should select lenses based on the look you want, not just how "amazing" it is. More comparisons in the next few days as well as a full video comparison coming soon. Run and gun setup for today. Using the #CanonEOSR and the RF 50MM F1.2. Sort of works out. I think using a cage would be better. Some quirks using a monitor that nobody really talks about. Still need to shoot abit more and get use to the setup. Need to rewire the way I shoot. But overall, loving the monitor so far. Imo there is one specific benefit I think it brings to DSLR's when shooting handheld. Should a monitor be at the top of your list of film gear to buy? Not so sure about that but it does help a lot. @samguw_bts ・・・ Had a number of questions regarding the difference between the EF 24-105 F4 II vs the RF version. There is actually a lot to talk about and maybe deserves its own video but in general, the RF version if you own an R camera. Whilst focusing using the EF to RF adapter is excellent, the RF appears to have better IS and overall sharpness in my test. It's also significantly smaller and lighter and is a better fit to the R cameras. Plus, you have the control ring on the R lens. However, if you already own the EF version, you should hold on to it and save some cash to buy other RF lenses (cause well, thy aren't cheap).
