COCONUT CORIANDER QUINOA served with 1 sad purple sweet potato (only had 1 left so I couldn’t have the typical 2kg ) and a lemon kissed kale salad my perfect #postworkoutmeal with the best balance of healthy carbs, fats and protein. Just boiled up 1 cup of quinoa with 1 tbsp of turmeric and 2 tsp of @pickldit coconut coriander spice, then massaged 3 cups of kale with lemon juice, topped with more fresh coriander, 1 cup of walnuts and 1 Roma tomato it’s been a killer week at the gym for me!!! Been hitting so many PRs so I’m really proud of myself... finally got 8 reps 20kg shoulder press, 8 pull-ups (during the workout, not in a row sadly yet lol ), 50kg deadlift 8 reps and 55kg deadlift 4 reps... I attempted 60kg today but couldn’t pick it up (I felt scared to for some reason) so my goal for before I go back to Malaysia June 18th is to be able to do 3 clean reps of 60kg squat and deadlift!!! ‍♀️ unfortunately though my chest strength hasn’t improved and if anything is declining I’ve always found it the hardest muscle to increase on but I know I just need to be patient and maybe change things up. Plus I’m still having trouble gaining weight but I’m sure I can as long as I stay consistent. What are your current fitness goals? ‍Torta di #lamponi: facilissima da preparare, #senzaglutine, #senzazucchero e #senzalattosio. Vi lascio la ricetta originale, io ho fatto qualche modifica, ma non ho segnato le dosi . Ho sostituito il latte di soia con quello di mandorla. Ho eliminato il malto e sostituito con il succo di . . . . Ingredienti 1 confezione di mirtilli o 500 gr di fragole fresche 50 gr di mandorle 50 gr di farina di riso integrale 60 gr di farina di mais fioretto 500 ml di latte di mandorla o di soia 2 cucchiai di malto di riso Olio di mais Un pizzico di sale . . . Procedimento Frullare le mandorle fino a ridurle in farina, incorporare le farine e il pizzico di sale. Unire il latte e il malto, fino ad ottenere un composto omogeneo. Oliare una teglia, versare il composto e decorare con la frutta lavata e asciugata. Infornate a 170 gradi per circa 40 minuti.

Can you have TOO MUCH FIBRE✨ We know fibre is amazing for our health, especially when it comes to #guthealth + balancing blood glucose levels. We also know that most people aren’t eating enough of it! But if more is good, is even MORE better? Not necessarily. . If you eat a mainly whole foods diet and you eat enough food, you’ll have no problem reaching the RDI of ~30g per day...but if you have high energy requirements (you’re active, tall, trying to build muscle, an athlete, recovering from an ED etc), you’ll probably easily get more than double that . If that’s not causing you any bloating and discomfort, extreme fullness so you struggle to meet your nutritional needs + toilet troubles, then you’ve got nothing to worry about. Our gut bacteria can adjust quite well to handle this amount fine (paleo peeps back in the day at over 100g of fibre!!) . BUT if you are struggling with the above, it might be worth making some lower fibre swaps!! Case study: ME. With high energy needs, trying to stick to whole foods is not a fun time. This meal alone was over 25g of fibre, and my daily total around 90g. I personally know 60-70g is totally fine for me, but getting this high I felt so full that I couldn’t sleep from the cramping in my stomach and felt like lying on the floor for half the day. Some fullness is TOTALLY normal. This is not. . WHAT can I do Try the following swaps: ✅More tofu, less beans + legumes. ✅Choosing slightly more processed carb sources such as breads, pasta, rice cakes and white or Basmati rice. ✅Peeling your fruit + veg. ✅Not adding fibre powders like psyllium husk. ✅Choosing lower fibre fruit + veg, like bananas and lettuce. ✅Quick oats instead of rolled. ✅Cooking your veg, less raw. . Yes this goes against the typical recommendations, but the most important thing about nutrition is you have to look at the CONTEXT. And if too much fibre from whole foods is causing issues then these are perfectly healthy + beneficial swaps

My lunch bowl today Not gonna lie, I wasn’t very creative and used most of the leftovers from my fridge. And it still turned delicious Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring or time consuming. Most of already prepared ingredients can last a few days in a fridge, throwing them into the bowl takes only a few minutes What did I eat today: roasted sweet potatoes seasoned with cayenne pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon, grilled chunks of chicken breast, avocado, fried zucchini, hard boiled egg, raspberries, cherry tomatoes on a cloud of spinach I usually sprinkle my bowls with olive oil and balsamic vinegar before eating Happy Thursday friends!!
