BLUE X 2 for #SMOOTHIEBOWL SATURDAY . (v, df, gf, nf, paleo options & RSF) . I absolutely love this smoothie combo. It’s packed with disease-fighting antioxidants along with healthy fats, fibre, protein, & adaptogens, too! Here I used a combination of blueberries & @organikahealth Blue Mylk Latte powder for that deep rich colour (hence blue x 2). . Blueberries are bursting with flavour & nutrition. They get their deep blue hue from anthocyanins, which are powerful antioxidants. In fact, blueberries contain among the highest antioxidant capacities of all the commonly consumed fruits & veg. . Blue Mylk Latte powder gets its beautiful colour from blue spirulina & blue matcha. Blue matcha comes from the Butterfly Pea Flower and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries. It is caffeine-free and is believed to promote relaxation, enhance memory & help relieve stress. . In my BLUE x 2 BOWL: . Frozen blueberries + frozen chunks + steamed-then-frozen cauliflower + @nuzest_usa Clean Lean vanilla protein + @organikahealth Blue Mylk Latte powder + @organikahealth maca + @lakantosweetener + @almondcow cashew or nut-free milk . Note: Use code “DRTARA” for DISCOUNT on @nuzest_usa @lakantosweetener & @almondcow . Topped here with goldenberries + @driscollsberry raspberries & blackberries + @threefarmersfoods maple cinnamon roasted chickpeas + @giddyyoyo chocolate covered goldenberries + @nudfud spirulina banana crisps + @healthycrunch trail mix + @beekeepers_naturals pollen . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #smoothies #smoothietime #breakfastrecipes #breakfastlove #quickbreakfast #breakfastonthego #simplebreakfast #whatsforbreakfast #fitbreakfast #goodbreakfast #easybreakfast #quickrecipes #quickmeals #easycooking #creativefood #eatsmart #eatforhealth #eatbreakfast #eatmoreveggies #eatmoreplants #healthystart #healthymorning #healthyeatinghabits #healthyfoodideas #healthyfoodie #healthyvegan #plantbasednutrition #plantbasedpower #plantbasedprotein

FAT LOSS TAKES TIME • Enough people have been messaging me like “how can I achieve my fitness goals in 4 weeks from now?” or “I have a few weeks to get in shape, any ideas?” • It’s like, yeah how about starting 12 months ago? You see, you’re asking the wrong questions. You’re being impatient, and that will NEVER work in this thing called fitness. • It’s not a quick fix, or a 12 week program that will get you in shape. Maybe you’ll get in shape but let’s see how you look 12 weeks after you finish that program. You’ve probably gained everything back.. • You don’t need just a plan, you don’t need just some food. You need long lasting HABITS and strategies that will last you forever • Want to know the reason why all of my coaching clients succeed in this fitness thing? Because we’re not focussing on the outcome. We’re focussing on the journey, creating habits and learning strategies. That’s what it’s ALL ABOUT!!!! • You see, if information were the solution, you’d already have your body. You know what to do. Strength train, dial in nutrition add time and voila. But the psychology and actual habit creation piece of the part is what you’re not focussing and what you SHOULD be focussing on. • Follow @health.joint DM for personalized training and nutrition plans • #weightlosscommunity #nutritioncoach #dublinfitfam #corkfitfam #supplementsthatwork #irishfirness #alphalete #sportsnutrition #caloriedeficit #weightcontrol #eatingright #healthytips #ukfitness #fatlosstips #flexibleeating #nutritiontips #naturalweightloss #weightlosstips #losefat #eatsmart

Ladies Who Lift⁣⁣⠀⠀ ⠀ ⚡Follow @ryanc_fit⚡⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀ ⁣⁣⠀⠀ Turns out all the reasons why guys should lift weights are the same for the ladies⁣⁣⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⠀⠀ Although the attitude is changing, society typically relates weight lifting with "getting big" and as a result many women are put off the idea. Not wanting to lift weights for fear of "getting too bulky" or "looking like a man".⁣⁣⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⠀⠀ Meanwhile everyone's talking about all the benefits of weight training and how it'll change your life without thinking to tell women that they can get all these benefits too.⁣⁣ I regularly have ladies ask me how they can train without lifting weights, because they still see it as only being of benefit to guys.⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⠀⠀ The chances of you picking up some weights and turning into Arnie are pretty slim. You're not going to drastically alter your body shape over night and you won't do it by accident either. So you can get that fear right out of your head.⁣⁣⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⠀⠀ That's not to say however that you should lift weights if you don't want to. If you're happy to stick with cardio or whatever other exercise you do then by all means, stick with it. But if you want to improve your fitness, make fat loss easier, reduce stress, improve your quality of life, improve general health and mood - then consider weight training.⠀⠀ ⠀ #weightlosscommunity #nutritioncoach #dublinfitfam #corkfitfam #supplementsthatwork #irishfitness #alphalete #sportsnutrition #caloriedeficit #weightcontrol #eatingright #healthytips #ukfitness #fatlosstips #flexibleeating #nutritiontips #naturalweightloss #weightlosstips #losefat #eatsmart

⠀ Are you guilty of only considering certain foods as being ‘processed’? ⠀ ‘Processed’ is a word that has been used very loosely when describing certain foods. What most people often don’t realise is that processed foods fall on a spectrum, from minimally to heavily/ultra-processed. ⠀ Technically a processed food is any food that has been altered in some way during preparation. Most foods we eat are actually processed in some way! ⠀ Food processing involves several methods such as freezing, canning, cooking, packaging, even something as simple as chopping or slicing are considered to be methods of processing. ⠀ Processing foods can be beneficial! Food processing allows food manufacturers to improve the nutritional quality of certain food product through fortification e.g. calcium fortified almond milk! ⠀ Food processing also makes for convenience options e.g. microwave rice cups, canned legumes and beans and salad mixes. Something most people benefit from with our busy day to day lives. ⠀ Food processing also assists with ensuring food safety (pasteurisation), preserving the nutritional quality of certain food products, and can also decrease the price of some products e.g frozen fruit and veg. ⠀ The only processed foods we need to limit are those that are ‘ultra processed’. You can identify these by looking at the ingredients list of the product. If the list is extremely long, it is pretty clear that the product has gone through a lot of processing. ⠀ Other processed items like canned fish, tomatoes, legumes & lentils, frozen fruit and veg etc are affordable, nutritious and convenient options that shouldn’t be avoided and are usually pantry or freezer staples! ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #foodfacts #eatforhealth #healthytips #fatlosstips #healthyfood #nutritioncoach #notadiet #healthyfoodchoices #caloriecounting #healthychoice #nutritionfacts #weightlossjourney #dietitian #healthydiet #eatsmart #healthfoods #weightlossideas #nutritional #calorie #calories #healthylifestyletips #smartfood #healthytips #bbgfood #eatbetter #eatforhealth #eatwholefoods #healthychanges #weightlosstips #nutritionfacts ⠀

#foodieopedia
