I managed to pick the very last of the elderflower heads. There weren’t many left! Berries are already forming on the taller branches but I managed to get plenty from one of our more shaded Elders. I’ve been making cordials all week and it’s been nice to work with fresh flowers rather than dried elderflowers that I usually collect from work...although I did need to gather a lot more fresh herb than I would normally use dry! ☀️#growingfood #somuchfun #curlygirl (again too☺️) - Garden Trug by @loldeantimber ‍

My first official carrot harvest of the season Possibly some of the best carrots I’ve grown! My garden was very light deprived during Winter but my new garden is not so I gave my carrots the sunniest spot I could. Basically, if you are growing something for the root, you want to give it the sunniest position you can. These carrots are an heirloom mix, were direct sown almost 3 months ago and are seriously beautiful

My peas have collapsed. A result of the hefty weight of the plants and yet again my inability to make a decent frame to fully support them These semi dry pods are what's left of the beautiful 'Golden Sweet' mange tout sent to me by @vital.seeds They were delicious. We harvested bowlfulls of them during June and ate them raw in salads. It probably helped that June was quite cool too. I had hoped to leave the remaining pods dry longer on the plants. However, with their collapse, I've harvested them in their semi dry state and will now dry them out completely at home because I absolutely want to grow these again next year and I'm excited to do so from seeds I've saved. Fred set up Vital Seeds, a small organic seed company, in 2018 in response to the lack of availability of UK-grown organic and open-pollinated seed. I pruned back and relocated all of my remaining Eggplants today. I had a few that I had left on the plants to save seeds from. As I was harvesting them, I noticed this one. It had split open and the seeds inside had started to germinate. A pretty amazing sight - nature is just incredible
