So I finally got a chance to clean this mess up a little bit!! That cleared section in front of the onions is where I just planted two new rows of green beans. Speaking of which the ones that I thought where pole beans are actually a wiry type of bush bean! That God lol. Half way through summer already?! How did that happen it was a crazy start, my second boy, Toby Florin, arrived, the farm shop began its second summer season as did my radio work with BBC! All this with very little sleep haha now that July is more than half way through I want to check back in to this season and make sure I’m actually embracing it! As a workaholic, married to a workaholic I have to really check back into the seasons regularly. Remind myself to slow down, grab an icecream and head to the beach. Other ways I’m going to check back into nature and my slow ethos is to; •re-listen to my summer guide • Make a summer cordial with the final elder blossoms and meadowsweet. •make a list of gardens I’d like to visit in the coming weeks and visit them! • spend as much time outside as possible! •wear my summer clothes! The She Shed Chicken Coop is done! Finally!! .. We repurposed 2 old children’s play houses for this coop DIY. So affordable & cheap thanks to craigslist.
