A crazy schedule prevented me from finishing my posts about #womenshealthweek but I won’t let that stop me. Recently I have discovered yoga and it has been not only great for me but for Ruby as well. I was doing research about exercises to be a stronger hiker and I kept seeing yoga pop up. You don’t have to go to fancy classes. I just watch free classes on You tube and it has challenged me. To my surprise Ruby loves to follow along.....ok I should reword....Ruby loves to climb all over me when I’m trying to do yoga!! She will copy some things. But honestly she just loves to climb on me or sit in my lap. I am amazed though how smart she is when she does follow along. I hope this is something we can continue to work on as she grows. . . #yogawithkids #yogamama #gathre #yogamat #tryingnewthings #womenshealth #trisomy21 #yoginspiration #kidswhoyoga #motherhoodunplugged #downwarddog #downsyndromelove #therapysession #yogatherapy

There are more than 100 types of cancer, and the causes are not entirely clear, especially in the case of childhood cancers. Here are some tips to try to reduce your risk: • Avoid tobacco • Avoid secondhand smoke • Limit alcohol • Protect your skin from the sun • Avoid indoor tanning • Increase your daily consumption of fruits & veggies • Keep a healthy weight (obesity is linked to 13 cancers) • Be physically active • Breastfeed, especially for longer than 1 year • Do all regular cancer screenings :@noel.alva Los Angeles, California
