This cute hedgehog pin is available in my etsy shop. I'm pleased to say I've been able to support @littlesilverhedgehog by donating 25% from every sale. The rescue is based in York & run by the amazing Emma, who tirelessly works with sick & injured hogs, rehabilitating them & releasing them back into the wild. Hey! I’m a little late to the party but I’m here just in time for day one of #justacard week which is run by the amazing @justacard who spread the word about the importance of shopping with independent shops, designers and makers! Today I’m meant to tell you 10 facts about myself, so here goes: 1: I’m called Lee and I am named after my great grandfather who was a Chinese sailor. That he was called Mr Lee and was a sailor who docked in Liverpool is all we know about him! 2: I studied Fine Art Painting at Brighton university where I was constantly being told ‘are you sure you shouldn’t be on the illustration course?’ Because I used a lot of narrative in my work. 3: I now live and work as an illustrator and maker back in Cornwall where I grew up...being near the sea is very important to me. I can’t really tell you why other than I LOVE being on the beach and it helps me know which way is north and south which for some reason, I find very comforting to know! 4: I live with my husband and our two children who are 5 (nearly 6!) and 3. 5: I love to ride horses which I did very regularly until I was about 5 months pregnant with my first baby... 6: umm, what else...I’m a real country bumpkin, terrible at crossing roads and useless at buses and navigating cities but very happy in the middle of nowhere on my own. 7: err...oh! I have written two books, one is out now ‘Creative Marker Art and Beyond’ and the other will be published next May ‘The Grown Up’s Guide to Making Art with Kids’! 8: My tool of choice is the marker pen in nearly all of its guises Paint markers and Sharpies are my favourites. 9: Umm, struggling now...I’m not very interesting aside from the usual love to travel a bit, like being outside, currently building a house, am really grossed out by plasters and also sellotape that other people have used, hate hot drinks... 10: I’m not very good at sitting still...if there’s stuff to do (like building random things out of stray Lego or fiddling with cutlery and napkins on the dinner table - I’m probably quite annoying) my hands will find their way there and do it... So there you go, that’s me!!✨

*PLEASE READ BELOW FOR CHRISTMAS SHIPPING AND SHOP UPDATES* . . I’ll be going away with my fiancé to visit his family in Canada (for the first time!? No pressure!) so will be closing my @etsy shop for a few weeks. . . Last shipping dates are as follows : . US/Canada - 12th December. Australia/NZ - 10th December. UK/Europe - 13th December. Everywhere else - 12th December. . . I’m working hard to get as many batches of mini hoops up before the shop closes, so there will be a shop update on Friday at 8pm GMT (turn post notifications on!) and then hopefully a double batch by next Friday (7th) and the following Monday (10th). Commissions are now closed for Christmas, but get in touch if you’re looking for one in the new year.. . I’ve used the Royal Mail guidance for cut off dates but, they can’t 100% guarantee me Christmas delivery so the sooner the better for orders!
