Swipe to see more pictures for this itinerary. • Follow me @efratakristina for more travel inspirations. • Tag friends who need inspiration "things to do in Athens". • The second day of 4 unforgettable & incredible days in Athens: • • Stay a little longer in your bed & wake up later for brunch (try greek coffee ☕️). - Make sure to be in the Piraeus port at 12.30 as the fast ferry ⛴ (flying Dolphin) departs at 12.50 from gate E8 to Agistri island (you can go by metro or taxi from your hotel, swipe the pictures for metro map). - Arrive at 2PM in Mylos port, walk about 1,5km along the beachside to Skala. Stop for resting or taking pictures. Order some snacks or drinks in one of the cafes alongside the beach. - Options: For the sportive one: Rent a bike/motorbike to discover the islands (+/- 17km ). Go to Skala beach, Megalochori beach, Dragonera beach, Limenaria village, Aponisius. The views are amazing (swipe pictures to see). - For the chillax one: Rent a sunbed & a parasol on Skala beach & wear your bikini. Go swimming, order some snacks or cocktails, read a book or update your social media accounts. - ⛴ At 7.15PM take a ferry to Aegina island where you will sleep tonight. Try Pistachio products (pesto, paste, pasta, etc) which are offered for free in a few stalls not far from the harbor. Pistachio is very famous in this island. - At 7.45PM check-in in your hotel & prepare quickly. - Go back to the Aegina port to enjoy the sunset (check sunset time in advance), before having dinner in one of the restaurants in the center. - At 10PM is time to sleep or stroll around if you haven't gotten enough. She said that I am so talented in language, as I understand Bahasa, Dutch, English, & Bulgarian & French (in different levels). . . . “What are you good at?” I asked several students back. The answers varied from online gaming, photography, math, gymnastics, football, dance, make-up, etc. . . . “Why are you good at that?” I asked again. Answers were: “It’s my hobby”, “It’s my talent”, “I love doing it”, “I read a lot about it”, “I practice regularly and continuously”, etc. . . . “Which competencies do you want to be good at, but you aren’t that good yet?” I went on with another question. The answers were: “be able to speak English”, “be excellent in Science”, “good knowledge of Microsoft office”, etc. . . . “Did you treat the second subject the same as the first one?” I asked again. Then it was silent. I got no answer but I saw them moving their head from left to right. . . . This is what I do or at least try to do when I am learning or doing something new (It can be learning a language, doing new tasks at work, learning to dance): - Be enthusiastic and curious. - Imitate the mentor/teacher/senior: ask them how and imitate at first, until you find your own way of learning. - Be patience and proud of yourself: When you learn something, you will be better at it than before. This morning, we hosted teams from Myanmar and Vietnam in our Bangkok office for the start of a two-day technical workshop about the online portal and learning management system used to connect institutions across the Lower Mekong subregion.⠀ ⠀ This afternoon, we attended a meeting at the SEAMEO office (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization), discussing how we might collectively support the future of STEM education in Southeast Asia.⠀ ⠀ Tomorrow, I’ll lead part of a session on work-based learning, reiterating the importance of practical and experiential learning to complement more traditional classroom theory. ⠀ ⠀ No matter what I’m going through, or what challenges I’m facing in this season, I have to step back and remember—16-year-old me would be so proud of what 26-year-old me is doing right now. ✨
