Sometimes I make shots with the intention of using them for a diptych without knowing what the other half will be. A place like this anywhere else in the world would be packed with tourists but we only saw about 20 people all day! ... This is Wadi Damm, as you can see it’s a pretty magical place and we were totally overwhelmed with it! We really did have an amazing day walking and swimming here and we both said it’s one of the most beautiful places we have ever been! ... Would you love to visit here? When I began shooting freelensed it was more frustrating than enjoyable, I wasn’t getting it and results were rarely good and when it did it was mostly a lucky shot. I’m not expert by any means and I’m still in awe when I see some amazing images which I have no idea how they did it. But I’m certainly getting the hang of it more and more and now I’m totally addicted as in 90% of the time, it’s still frustrating at times but I’m enjoying the challenge every time. Best part is using the very first lens I bought, a used 50mm 1.8 manual lens that cost me $50, who knew this little lens could do so much!
