Just gonna walk into this week like I’ve already owned it! I’ll be headed to London with my friend and her fam this Friday, so before that I have two goals: spend lots of time with Adam and the kids, AND complete my 374793 mile long to do list. My Maelynn Kate. She made me feel love in ways I didn’t know existed. Crazy how a child changes everything. Before her my dogs were our babies... well have a kid and boy do you experience a love 3857929 times bigger (I still adore our pups btw!) and it changes your perspective on A LOT of things. I would say things like, before her we could do what we wanted, be spontaneous, sleep in, yadda yadda... BUT. We could still do those things after her bc well... she was basically a gem of a baby. Very content, easy, LOVED sleep, just... ya. We were like “Dude, we should write a book on parenting!” Lmao them Morgan came along and showed us we had nothing to do with how good she was God just gave us some undeserved grace with this one ANYWAYS! This girl! She’s so sweet, super shy, hasn’t let me pick out her clothes since she was 3, she’s witty and hilarious, a good argue-er when she’s passionate about something , and if you want her to do something she wants to do it that much less And unfortunately she’s starting to catch on to the reverse psychology game LOL! I’m just hoping that undeserved grace will follow us into the teen years hahaha! So where my girl moms at?! I’m already thinking I should be reading some teenager mom self-help books - - - I wanted to post a little about my babies bc I love them SO dang much, these photos are so special to me, and I’m gonna miss them like crazy while I’m in London! ❤️ • • •

My sweet, sweet Morgan. This kid... I’ll never forget when he arrived in this world how much hair he had and his super pinch-able cheeks (so ironic now that he’s a bean pole lol). He also cried, like A LOT. And for what felt like forever. I remember he was the one that made me think I couldn’t do this. I could not go off that little of sleep and care for him and his sister. I couldn’t keep him happy long enough or keep him full. I cried too... like I cried a lot. Basically we both cried a lot LOL! I didn’t know I could love someone so much and be that frustrated at the same time (I mean, that is kind of my life with Adam LOL! But we can at least talk things out and I at least get to win sometimes) But guys... Morgan still cries... A LOT. And getting him to eat is the daily struggle now days lol! He’s the one that really made me go through the hard parenting stuff. But man is he sweet. Oh so sweet and cuddly. Parenting is the craziest, hardest, best, most wild ride. And I don’t know what I’d do without this handsome, difficult boy - - - Thank you to my bestie @terrymaigi for snapping this for me I’ll treasure it forever. • • •

there’s something so special about spending quality time with the families i photograph — you end up seeing it all, their truest selves. this past week i did just that with my dear friend, @masakathryn and her sweet mississippi fam. it was easy to fall in with them. i mean, so much happened in three days — we cozied up in a storm shelter, ate their favorite meals, shared stories, talked about enneagrams, our husband’s muscles + got out in nature and documented this beautiful season they’re in. here’s a favorite frame from the motherhood portion with masa, bowen & mera. - so much more to come.
