И многое другое, программа широкая • Бальзамом на мою душу стали изменения в Юре. И теперь он страдает на темы «Поскорей бы белые стены», «Белая кухня, как я скучаю», «А сколько ты придумала полок для моих ништячков?», «А какой маршрут? В Альпы то едем?», «Когда уже наконец стартуем отсюда!» • Короче, мы семья нытиков И собаки такие же‍♀️

When we research activities in an area, we always try to choose tour companies that are not just trying to make a buck, but believe in sustainable tourism and are doing good in the communities around them. We had the privilege of going kayaking with @kayakguatemala yesterday and loved meeting the owner and hearing their backstory. . 20 years ago they started a NGO called Amigos de Santa Cruz in which they provide support for education and economic empowerment to 7 indigenous villages around Lake Atitlan. They do this through various educational programs in the local schools to support higher education, build fair economies, teach employment skills and empower women entrepreneurs. It was so cool to hear some of the success stories that have come from Amigo’s efforts and how it has helped the communities here. . Knowing that we are supporting this cause while also enjoying the beautiful lake made for a more impactful experience. Thanks @kayakguatemala and our super fun guide, Alex, for such a great day on the water. ‍♀️ One of things we will remember most was swimming and jumping off a dock with the local kids. Wrapping up 2 months in Guatemala in probably the most iconic place of this country--the famous Mayan ruins of Tikal! We decided to brave the 4AM wakeup call to witness the sunrise on top of this temple and watch the jungle come alive! Well, we didn’t have much of a sunrise due to cloud coverage, but it was still worth it! We had been told this is the best way to experience these sacred ruins and also avoid the middle of the day heat (yeah, no thanks!‍♀️) . Listening to all the wildlife wake up in the jungle while sitting on top of one of the temples was an experience we will never forget!
