let’s start this day off with a good ol’ metaphor!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i shared this on my IG story a couple hours ago after my workout today but incase ya didn’t see it imma share it here too because i think it’s a good one! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ >>you should start your day just like how you start your workout<< ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ when you walk into the gym, you don’t just dive right into the workout you have planned (at least i hope you don’t) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ you start off slow, stretch your body, maybe do some cardio to get your heart rate up and your body fully PREPARED to start the workout! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ your mornings should (at least IMO) start the same way. SLOWWWW ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ wake up, stretch a little, and breatheeee! set your alarm 15-20 minutes earlier than usual just so you can have some time to yourself before rushing out the door and just diving right in to the day ahead! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ a few of my favorite things to do that have been total game changers for me, my mood and outlook on life include: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ writing or speaking the things that i’m so grateful to have in my life and what i’m blessed to be able to do each day. positive self affirmations because if you’re not hyping yoooself up - ya can’t expect anyone to do it for you! sometimes i’ll close my eyes and picture myself doing & accomplishing all the things i know i have to get done so that when the time comes to actually do them - i’m ready! VISUALIZE the day you WANT to have! probably the best thing you can do! sit and write or just breathe deeply and talk out loud to yourself about how you want this day to go. what can you do to make it go that way? what can you let go of to make it that way? what will you feel if your day does go this way? because YOU ARE IN CONTROL ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ just like how you prepare you body for a workout, prepare your mind for the day ✨ ———— • ps. HAPPY HAPPPPYY FRIDAY!!!! ‼️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i have this weird sense of excitement in me and maybe it’s because sam and i are going to a BYOB ax throwing place later (i know.. doesn’t seem like the best combo to me either ‍♀️) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ but i thinkkkkk it’s actualllllyyy because of how much i’ve committed to my morning routine, my training, my cardio, my diet, my clients, #fitforlyfe 2.0, Sam, this new experience and life change we’re on together and just MEEEEEE ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i used to be (and still sorta am) the biggest people pleaser! i’ve always said “oh i’m so easy going it doesn’t rly matter to me” which in part, is TRUE but i think we all need to realize that choosing ourselves and doing what brings US happiness isn’t wrong or selfish! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ >> if it’s not a FK YES then it’s a no, sis << ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ———— ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4️⃣2️⃣ MINUTE EMOM DEETZ: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ * start timer at 00:00 * do the reps for exercise 1 as fast as possible with keeping form * if it takes you 40 seconds to complete, you have 20 seconds rest until exercise 2 begins! * i did 6️⃣ rounds but do as many as YOU can! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. reverse lunges + high kick x10 each leg 2. burpees x12 3. single arm front raise x12 each 4. step up + reverse lunge x8-10 each 5. bench tricep dips x15 6. bench crunches x15 7. shoulder press + RDL x12 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ OKKK NOW GO HAVE THE BEST FRIDAY EVER { leggings - @strongphysiquez - COURTO to save $$ i love these!!! so buttery, soft and contouring }

Today while shopping at Plato’s Closet (also known as my second home), I found this shirt. I love crop tops but ever since I gained a little weight after high school, they don’t look as good. As I put it on, I had my heart set on buying it. When it was on though, my heart flipped. Bad thoughts about my body started to fill my head. Thoughts that I’ve been trying to fight myself not to think. - - - People will say that I “let myself go” and in a way I did. I stopped doing the things that I loved because making excuses became a new thing that I loved. I could never “find time” to go to the gym but I could find time to binge watch Netflix. - - - Right now, I’m bloated. My body aches from my lovely monthly gift. I made time though and that’s the difference. I’m tired and I don’t feel good, but I still went to the gym and actually did something. It wasn’t much, but I needed a break from homework and I needed to help myself. I needed to help myself feel just a little bit better about my body. y’alllllll sunny days are ahead! the weather has been absolutely AMAZINGGGGGG the last few days here in north carolina and i’m here for it ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ decided to do a little at home // outside workout today! ***if you don’t have any weights at home then add a couple more reps and use bodyweight! ***if you don’t have bands - just do the exercises without it! i’m using @hopefitnessgear bands! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CIRCUIT 1: a) banded RDL x12 b) banded squats x12 c) reverse lunges with knee up x12 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CIRCUIT 2: a) reverse lunge with kickback x12 b) v ups x15 (no the ground actually didn’t hurt me at all ‍♀️) c) bicycle crunches x15 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ CIRCUIT 3: a) banded lateral steps x12 each way b) glute bridges x15 c) banded squat jumps x12 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ >> repeat each circuit 3️⃣ times << ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ————— t minus 20 DAYS until #FITFORLYFE 2.0 launches ‼️ get ready fo summa and fooo LIFE with me and the beautiful community of women we have ITS TIME TO STOP PUTTING YOUR GOALS OFF AND TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE!
