And if not, He is still good! We officially reached SIX months with our little Ezekiel and as of this week I am officially DONE pumping. Part of me is sad, part of me feels FREE. Two things I learned in the last six months of motherhood and pumping: 1. I had no idea how much emotion would be tied to breastfeeding/pumping. At least for me. No matter how many people tell you #fedisbest, i still on some level felt like I wasn’t doing good enough when we started supplementing. Maybe hormones. Maybe just a first time mom wanting to do her best 2. He is still good. I didn’t want or plan to have a c section. I wanted natural birth. No meds. I ended up with a spinal, no labor, and a pretty rough c section. I didn’t want to pump. Or use formula. I wanted to exclusively breast feed for a year and give my baby the best possible nutrition. At two weeks of life we switched to exclusively pumping since he was losing weight and now at 6 months going to 100% formula. Motherhood has been the sweetest reminder that we don’t write our story. As much as I plan and do my best to control the way things will go, I am quickly reminded that the Lord is in control. His plans are perfect and I don’t have to be. I will continue to walk through motherhood with open hands, trusting that God is guiding my path and that he’s putting holy water in our bottles of formula (kidding!)

#BTS We shot a little cameo in a hysterical film the other day. I’ll share more when I can but it’s so cool to know that baby brooks is already a part of 2 movies. How cool is it that we can watch “A Very Corgi Christmas” every Christmas together and we can tell her that she was in mummy’s tummy!
