Week 3 #polegoalschallenge - Supine Split Stretch with Weight. You can try this stretch with a stall bar if you have access to one. If not, a kettlebell is the next easiest thing to use, then a bar with weights like this (I had trouble with it moving around a bit this way so had to secure the bar by blocking the weights with shoes for the second side). I included some of the prep stretches I did before I went into this stretch too. There are no shortcuts. Just persistence, smart programming and hard work. #YES if you agree. ▫️ I thought it was time for an update on my pancake. These results did not come from yoga, or PNF or a nervous system trick. ▫️ It was the result of learning to fully inhabit my body (better motor maps = better range of motion y’all), release tension and control the new range. ▫️ Too much of what is taught out there focuses on tactics. Sometimes they work. I’d rather give you the principles to create your own freedom. ▫️ New program is coming. And it’s going to flip everything on it’s head people think they know about flexibility.

Most stretching folks do is some half-assed crap learned in PE class taught by a teacher that got paid peanuts. We can do better than that.
