From the design team: The installation is a simple, accessible space of interaction conceived to serve as a quiet background to the colorful installations and programs of “Spontaneous Interventions: Design Actions for the Common Good.” Once Commonplace is deinstalled in the fall, its components will be put back in circulation in the city. The custom made stools--produced by an Italian boat manufacturer--were engineered to be soft enough for comfortable seating, sturdy enough to provide a safe walking surface, and light enough to be easily carried around by children. They were designed to evoke both luxurious furniture and playground equipment.

#IADesign keeping sports fans happy with a successfully delivered joint corporate suite at the recently rebranded Marvel Stadium - just in time for bounce down Round 1 As a part of IA Design working on Crocmedia’s national portfolio of workspaces & media suites, we were engaged to design their joint corporate suite at Marvel Stadium (formerly Etihad Stadium). The complete re-fit included transforming two separate suites into one larger space that felt fresh and inviting whilst incorporating branding of McCafe. Technology was a large driving point for the design with screens placed throughout the space so guests will never miss a moment of the action on field. The main screen at the back of the suite can be controlled from Crocmedia’s office in South Melbourne to provide them with ultimate branding flexibility and content control. The suite also has capability for Crocmedia to perform live radio broadcasting during the game. We can’t wait to celebrate the completion of this project with #Crocmedia in this awesome new space!
