Some exciting news to kick off this Monday! Around the start of 2019 I received an email from someone at @theknot asking me to submit Kelly and Ben’s wedding for publication in their Florida magazine for the Summer/Fall issue. Somewhere they had seen some of their wedding photos and wanted to share the unique vision that Kelly and Ben had for their day, and I don’t blame them! I mean look at these two! . You can see the five page spread about their wedding in the summer/fall edition of The Knot Florida magazine.

Hiiiii Let’s get personal ✨ this is a photo of my fiancé and I last August in Havana, Cuba! I met Pablo (my fiancé) on a missions trip in October 2017. He asked if he could have the privilege of being friends and I said yes. For months he pursed me and showed me what love should look like. In spite of the differences of context, culture and how our countries were both not on great terms...we fell in love. He’s relentless, passionate, humble and so so so sweet. I’ve never known a human so kind! He has the character of Jesus in so many ways and I’m so so blessed to be on this wild crazy journey with him! We’ve been long distance and it has been the most challenging thing I’ve ever done but so rewarding. FINALLY this week he is coming to the USA to stay! I’ve been planning my wedding, working and traveling and it’s been CRAZY haha I can totally relate with my brides! It’s so much! Anyways, I wrote this to encourage you to fight for love and to show you how passionate I am about it! After all.. Jesus gave His life to show us how much He loved us! So I’ll fight for love till my very last breath ❤️

— this shoot was such an adventure. we shot at a few locations and left the lake as our last spot - turns out everyone and their mom and their mom’s mom is at the famous banff lakes in july. I’m talking disney level tourist mayhem. and I’m from orlando so I do not say that lightly. . when we finally got to a parking spot, it was the very last light of the day. we rushed past a sea of tourist selfie sticks to this quiet overlooked dock and then the magic happened. ✨ it’s safe to say I am so glad we stuck it out and fought to make this moment happen. . I’m learning in photography to push myself more and more, to press into the situation until I find the magic. and often that looks like overcoming the unexpected: bad weather, weird lighting, crazy temps, timeline hiccups and every once in a while - a sea of tourists and a race with the setting sun.
