And here is a little making of my Ranger helmet from Anthem! It’s based on a pepakura file we‘ll release soon. The build is made out of EVA foam from @cosplayshop.be , glued with contact cement, primed with plastidip and painted with vallejo airbrush colors. Since it doesn’t make sense just to wear the helmet in the game, this will be just a prop which I will only hold and not wear. After nearly 120 hours of work, at least 7m of craft foam, 400ml of glue, more than a litre of primers and paints (and it almost took my sanity too) it is finally over!!The torso shown on those pictures was the main build but I did the whole thing including the helmet I showed before, gauntlets and boots. It had to be finished today because I'm going to travel a while from tomorrow and of course MCM London is next week! I'm lucky to tell that my buddy @woodysworkshopp is gonna take that Project there! As always I learned so much from this Build and I now know why it required smithing level 100 that's probably why there's still so many things that could've been done better.. well learning by doing! It's built...the foam base is finally done!!! Ignore the janky glue lines in places, it's gonna get covered in hair yet This was a pain in the arse to build and took so long. Here is a little insight on how I basically build every piece of my Anthem rifle. I work with 10, 5 and 2 mm high density EVA foam and contact cement from @cosplayshop.be . This round cutter thing is from @foamwerks and super handy! Benni created here a blueprint based on a screenshot and 3D model we got from Bioware. Afterwards I cut the part I want to build out, separated it and traced each of them onto foam. I used a dremel to sand the edges and worked next to the hose of a vacuum cleaner to avoid the mess. Also, wearing a respirator and eye protection is super important! As you can see I‘m almost done with the gun!
