Ce bois à vraiment quelque chose de magique. Et à chaque saison, c'est une magie différente. Puisse-je me souvenir à jamais de l'ombre de ses grands chênes et les visiter encore et encore pour déposer d'autres poignées de raisins secs ou d'éclats de fève de cacao à leurs pieds! Mettre de coté les RDV, laisser tomber les todo list, oublier mes attentes envers moi-même pour simplement me poser près d'une rivière et écouter les chuchotis du vent avec une sœur ou une amie... . 17 years ago I took my Yoga Foundational Teacher Training with Ana Forrest. Today I taught Day 2 of the Anatomy segment for her Calgary Teacher Training with Jose Calarco. It gives me so much pleasure to see the excitement, wonder & eagerness in the eyes of the new teachers as they build their healing skills and ready themselves to help the people in their home lands. . The Teacher Training is such a powerful mode of education & life development. So much work is done internally to harness the forces of energy that we regularly waste thru self-doubt, negative & limiting internal self monologues, addictions & general self-destructive behaviors & thinking. The teachers learn experientially thru daily yoga practices the nuances of movement variations that bring healing to their own injuries or pain. And they learn how to use their voice, their hands, their presence & intent to teach others how to use Yoga & breath to heal their injuries & pain. . My job here is to teach them how & why all of this works. To give them a life-long love affair with their own Anatomy through understanding how marvelously interconnected everything is. To teach them the inner landscape of their own Anatomy so they can feel & know what is happening inside their bodies during Yoga & daily life. And specifically how the many different variations of human structures all need to be met with different emphasis. Hyper-lordosis, scoliosis, posterior tilting pelvis, flat foot , high arch, torn hamstring, collapsed chest, flat back, neck, knee, wrist injured.....all need different movement patterns emphasized in the Yoga practice for healing or to strengthen what is weak & lengthen what is tight. . There is a feeling of empowerment that accompanies knowing our own Anatomy & Biomechanics.
