I've decided to turn my account into a @bareminerals foundation fan page. In all seriousness, I've mentioned them quite a few times in the last 2 weeks. And I'm going to again. I am about to try my 6th Bareminerals foundation. I found this Pure Brightening Serum Foundation (pretty sure it's about to be discontinued) at @marshalls. I was pretty excited about it. I never find anything there. I definitely did not need to buy another foundation...but it was such a good price and foundations from this brand work so well on my skin. I can't wait to try it out. This is going to be a new experience, though. For now see below for my top tips on creating a flawless base ✨simple but effective ❣️ I also filmed this super easy smokey eye using the @zoesugg X @colourpopcosmetics Brunch Date palette ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • Your foundation will only look as good as your skin underneath • Cleanse & exfoliate before application - getting rid of dead skin will be a game changer, trust me! Your foundation will look so much smoother. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • Moisturise & prime - even if you’re oily you should moisturise! Priming will prolong your foundation, create a barrier between the two and help foundation go on smoother. My fav is MAC natural radiance primer! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • Use a beauty blender, wet the sponge & ring it out in a towel so it’s not soaking! But you must apply the foundation in dabbing motions & don’t swipe! This will ensure the coverage stays wear you apply it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • Firstly apply a thin layer of foundation to even your skin tone - your skin probably doesn’t need coverage everywhere! So only build up the coverage where you need it! Apply a second layer & double up the foundation & on areas where you want more coverage or have blemishes. DABBING ‍♂️ is key here! Don’t swipe! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • Use a translucent powder to set & make sure you pat the powder on and don’t swipe, so you don’t disturb the coverage! (I’m currently Obsessed with @kikomilano Invisible powder - it genuinely blues my pores, see in the video!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • Use more powder where you get oily, don’t be afraid to really pack it on, because the next step will change this! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • If you’re afraid of looking powdery, a setting spray will settle down the powders, smooth your bronzer & Highlighter, overall will make everything look more hydrated(getting rid of the powdery finish) use @maccosmetics Fix + if you’re more dry as this is more hydrating where as @urbandecay All nighter is more oil controlling. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨comment below any questions or share your own!
