“I know recently a lot of my Facebook/Instagram posts have been about my mum, but after seeing what she is going through it makes me realise how much we need to beat Alzheimer’s or at least some sort of relief. I don’t usually share pictures of my mum like this one, it can be quite upsetting, there may be people who wouldn’t want me to share a pic of my mum like this, but it’s my mum l and the truth is, this is why there is no cure or advance in research. Not enough hard hitting adverts and information! I am guilty my self of only sharing the best “happy” pictures of my mum because they nice! And make you smile. But in this picture you can see what Alzheimer’s has done to my lovely mum. It is the cruelest thing I have ever seen! The worst is having your mum there but missing her so so much . What a success #PartyInPurple was this year! Thanks to the #AlzheimersAssociation, I’m able to play a small part in the fight to #EndAlz each year... it was my FOURTH year hosting the event. I’m grateful. Thank you to everyone that came out, and to those who donated.

never underestimate the power of loving humans!! i honestly can't even begin to explain the insanity that happened over the course of the past few days !! this is me with my oldest best friend when we were babies. on easter we gathered with our church at our annual big event on the santa monica beach, and at around 11am her mother wandered off, and went missing! our mothers have been friends for 40 years, but now her mom has early onset alzheimer’s and wandering is part of the disease. she was lost for 31 hours without food, water, phone or ID. for those of you who don’t know, statistics show that two thirds of alzheimer wanderers who are lost are gone forever after 24 hours, and she was at an even higher risk because she is a POC - so all we have been doing for the past couple days is helping with the search, putting up flyers and helping with social media etc. thank god we found her safe and i want to give a huge shout out to all the people who prayed for my friend and her family from around the world and all who helped in the search. special thanks to @sharonosbourne for posting our flyer on her instagram and blessings to the people who found her just wandering in brentwood of all places ahaha that’s definitely the nicest place you could end up, thanks to the nextdoor app flyer we passed around. never doubt that miracles can happen and love is always the answer!!
