It is NYE the last day of 2018 and the last day of my second trimester I have been pregnant for half of this year The first half of this year was filled with a lot of waiting and anxiety, some temporary elation, heartbreak and a feeling of defeat. By July I needed a mental break from #ttc and stopped the worrying, tracking and obsessing... we went to Spain, drank wine every day, enjoyed lots of food, explored and snoozed on the beach. The first time in almost a year I read a non-ttc related book and relaxed. The morning after we got home something compelled me to test... and here we are at the end of #26weekspregnant The last 6 months have been filled with a lot of anxiety too.. as being #pregnantafterloss does to you but recently I’ve just been excited there is so much to look forward next year, the last 3 months of this pregnancy, her birth and so many other firsts.. I cannot wait! 2019 I will () become a mother to our darling girl, our whole world is going to shift and whilst our family is growing I’m going to shrink and protect our little bubble Happy new year to all my fellow #ttcsisters and #mumstobe and #newmums - I hope 2019 brings you all happiness, love and your dreams come true

Taking a photo in something that rocks when your toddler is in the room means that every photo will be blurry. At least I got cute little chocolate hands in the corner. Also my belly is almost always lopsided now. • • Isaiah can feel the change coming and has been needing extra cuddles but that’s how we like it around here so no complaints about that. Anyone else have a super cuddles fam? • • AJ can come whenever she’s ready. Though if I’m honest, I hope that she’s ready sooner rather than later

Phew!! The scan went fine there is definitely a sac and a yolk on the left hand side there, it’s a bit faint but on track for 5 weeks. She said there looks like there is/has been a bleed on the bottom area of the sack which should explain the brown spotting. They can’t say what causes it but she wants me back at 7 weeks to check it’s all progressing ok So so relieved!! Thank you all so much for your well wishes beforehand! we are so happy everything looks ok and is in the right place! If the next scan goes well we will be telling our parents so more than my hubby and this community will finally know! It’s been hard keeping a secret!

Little different look this week—maternity pics happened on Sunday. Can not believe it, it was so surreal. The first time she had me look at my bump I started crying (shocking, I know). I’ve had lots of moments of extreme gratitude and tears this past week, I think hormones are rampant. I also have felt a lot of guilt that I’m here and others are not. I’ll just never understand why it has to be so hard for some of us. Feeling more “uncomfortable” as pregnant women like to call it, definitely moving slower. Doing a very mini baby moon on Friday, just staying at a nice hotel and doing some fun things around there. And hopefully finishing up the nursery. Can’t believe we’re reaching the finish line.
