It seems like good timing after my spring produce prep post earlier this week to share the second edition of #StockedAndStoked on my website where I go through our spring fridge with you! This is just a snapshot of how we like to prep our fridge with whole plant foods during the springtime. IN THIS FRIDGE: Top Shelf (left to right): Oil-Free Porcini Mushroom Gravy (from Week #5 - European Bistro of my 6 week prep program — see story highlights), mashed cauliflower with kale, fresh cut strawberries, roma tomatoes, No-Added-Salt Pico de Gallo (recipe on my site - link in bio @hellonutritarian), whole raspberries, cut green onions, broccoli sprouts, Extra-Creamy No-Oil Hummus (recipe on site), No-Oil Cauliflower Cream Sauce (recipe on site), homemade nut parmesan. . . Middle shelf: Ezekiel English Muffins, green onions, sugar snap peas, fresh cilantro, asparagus, grape tomatoes, whole strawberries, and blueberries. . . Bottom shelf: whole pears and apples, trimmed asparagus, mixed greens, cut cucumbers, red cabbage, red onions and collard greens. . . What 2 weeks off Instagram meant for me… . . I thought I’d only stop posting for 4 or 5 days while we were on our trip to Vegas (to celebrate my son’s 10th birthday). But it felt SO good to be away from Instagram-land that I extended my posting hiatus till now. . . It felt lovely to not have to worry about posting something pretty and articulating something clever to say. . . After the first week of total social media detoxing and when we returned home, I began “lurking” on Instagram—you know liking and commenting on friend’s posts. It felt so nice to be a content consumer rather than a creator for a change ✨✨ . . But with a mission to bring nutritarian living into the mainstream I know that social media is a huge resource that I cannot abandon. . . But the break was wonderful and it brings me back re-charged and ready to keep on sharing this journey with you! . . I wanted to start things back off by sharing why this particular fridge holds such a special place in my heart. When I was just a “small” account here on Instagram a true “influencer” in the vegan community (I put “” around these words because they still feel icky to say) was gracious enough to share this fridge pic on her amazing feed. After that act of kindness everything just took off for me on this platform and it led to other big shares and an amount of exposure I NEVER IMAGINED. . . I am forever and absolutely grateful to @allysongesch , someone I’m lucky enough to now call a friend. If Ally had never taken the time to share my work, you probably wouldn’t be reading this right now. . . And in that spirit of sharing the love, I want to start featuring other fridge enthusiasts! You guys asked for it... we made it happen! For a long time we couldn’t figure out how the heck to get our #menuboard to stay on the fridge ‍♀️. After ALOT of trial + error we found the perfect solution. We now include little sticky guys to go on the back of the standoff hardware. They’re transparent, super strong + won’t leave a residue .
