. Letter of GRATITUDE . Spent my day contemplating gratitude related to the last months of my life. Realised I cannot be grateful just for that period. Gratitude is a VAST feeling. . I thought of: - People who have guided me to deeper paths around the world /inside myself; - Who offered me love; - Gave me shelter, a home, a ride; - A hug, a smile, a fun moment; - Who taught me something. Kids, adults, homeless, rich, poor; - Friends who offer me discount airline tickets. How would even my journey be possible without them (?) - People who showed me directions when I didn't know my way on a map; - Waited for "the next bus" w/ me, just 'cause I was in a not so safe area; - Those I had to trust when I spoke nothing of a different language, and didn't take advantage on me, they were just good; - People who trusted my word, work, my plans. Thank you! - Who called me many times when I was so worried about my life, about "the next day"; - New students, new/ old friends, family; - That wrote to me often to ask if I was doing fine, to say they were sharing the trip with me somehow; - Who offered me work; - Were open to me, allowed me in; - Friends who ALWAYS make me feel at home in their home, and make me wonder "why do I deserve so much love/ care?"; - Fun friends; - Who took care of me when I was terribly sick after traveling for 56 hours by train; - Gave me what I needed at the right moment demonstrating their great sensibility; - Trusted me when I felt my ground didn't exist and said "come here! You are THE ONE!". Thank you!; - Who saw me beyond everything; - Teachers... who taught me (English) many years ago, the woman who PAID for my english course (my unbeatable mom!); - I am grateful for my B.adm. degree. Yes, the one I asked myself "How and Why did I graduate on this course"? - Thankful for the failure in accomplishing some personal goals, which made me stronger /more realistic; - Grateful for seeing beyond/ trusting myself. .
