My daughter started a new job a few weeks ago where she gets to spend time taking care of this gorgeous girl. She had to go to special needs mutual and my daughter asked me to do her makeup before she went. “There are a select few who will touch your life in the most meaningful way. After meeting them their souls will leave an imprint on your heart and from then on you will never be the same again. These are the people you call your earth angels.” I had this experience last night while giving this beautiful girl a makeover. I felt like I was in the presence of an earthly angel her innocence, her purity, her laugh, her hugs, her tears, her sweet reactions to having me brush her face to apply the makeup. I was overcome with gratitude for the opportunity I had to spend time with her, and how this moment wouldn’t have happened for me if I wouldn’t have chosen to become an Maskcara artist. I shared my love and talent with this amazing girl and she shared with me so much more! Something is happening here!!! . In February I decided to embrace my natural texture and start implementing the Curly Girl Method. . There have been A LOT of bad hair days in between these 2 pictures. And plenty more to come since I’m still confused as to what my hair needs/likes. . It’s been a real love/hate experience. However, in the last 2 weeks I started to finally see progress! And I had no idea my hair was this curly. . Some days I miss my curling iron. Some days my curls fall out half way through the day. Sometimes it’s extra stringy in the back. BUT I’m committed to sticking it out through September (at least) because there’s just something about embracing your true self ❤️ .
