Can you believe this has been the highest point on my walk so far! . Burrough Hill is 210m/690ft and you can see for miles, you can see Lincoln Cathedral over 40 miles away, the trees were in my way though ‍♀️ . Went hiking 2 weeks ago with family to Luzon's highest peak--Mt. Pulag! We started the hike at 1:30 in the morning and reached the summit at around 7. You couldn't see shiz on the way up but going down via the same route, it was an entirely different landscape that you could see around you once the sun rose up. . It was tiring af but I'm glad I decided to go up to the summit and daym the view was worth it! What is something unexpected you came across while travelling? ⁣ ⁣ I must admit that I didn’t expect a delayed menstrual cycle to be caused by Jet lag . When I realised I was 12 days late, I was in pure panic mode ⚠️ . However, a friend of mine suggested that maybe my trip to Japan had some impact on it. So I did the research ‍ ⁣ ⁣ As we know, Jet lag can cause our body clocks to go out of sync and disrupt our natural rhythms. These rhythms actually are correlated to our menstrual cycle and can cause disruptions to it. So when we suffer from tiredness, dizziness or any other effects of jet lag our body goes into a survival mode. Our fight or flight reactions automatically put survival first which is why ovulation and therefore your period may be delayed. I’ve been called the queen of sunsets before, but I’m wondering when I get my crown - PHOTO TIPS FOR SUNSETS (save for later!) - (1) Shoot wide! To capture all the color a sunset has to offer, you’ll want to get as much of the sky as you can into the scene. This one is 35mm, but I often go much wider! (2) Aim to UNDER expose. To retain the vibrant colors of a sunset sky, under expose about a stop. (3) Shoot in RAW! Since you’ve underexposed, you’ll need as much image quality as you can to pull the shadows up if you don’t want a silhouette shot. RAW gives you that power over jpeg! (4) Large aperture & low ISO. A large aperture (small number) allows as much natural light to enter your camera as possible, while a low ISO will reduce grain when you recover your shadows when you edit! As the light fades, you’ll need a tripod to account for the slower shutter speed you’ll need to capture the image. (5) Try and physically block the sun at least partially with an object in the foreground if shooting before the sun hits the horizon. This will make the light in your shot more even. (BONUS: stop down when you do this to create sunbeams!) (6) WAIT for about 20 min after the sunset for the best colors! - And my best tip, watch as many sunsets as you can! - LET ME KNOW if you’ve learned anything new, or if you have any other sunset shooting tips!
