This photo makes me excited for spring. Excited for the trails to thaw and the lakes to warm up. | I have been so busy with traveling lately that I’ve barely had any time to edit new photos! Got back from Bali this month, had to catch a flight shortly after to my home state, got back from that last night, and then Saturday I leave again for Las Vegas. I think after this next trip I’ll have been gone more days than I’ve been home this year. I feel stressed and tired, and I’m ready for a break so I can be home and relax for awhile. BUT Bali content will be coming soon, and I’m excited to share all the beautiful places we saw while there!

❤️ Our love story begins on February 2016. My now-husband, Jay, & I were at a point in our lives where we were ready for a major change. Breaking from the norm, we crawled out of our comfort zones & made the connection online. Though I was living in Washington & he was in California, we frequently visited each other, flying out every three weeks or so. Because we shared many common interests & aimed for the same long-term goals, our relationship remained strong over time. After several months of long distance dating, I decided to take a giant leap of faith & moved south to begin a new journey in my life, love & career. Initially it was a difficult transition as I was leaving everything familiar behind. But greater opportunities were waiting across the border & most importantly, I was starting a new chapter with the man that I loved. Since then I have never once looked back nor regretted my decision to take the chance. Growing up sheltered & so absorbed in my nursing studies, I never had the opportunity to explore much outside of the country. Fortunately, Jay was already a well-traveled man & was ready to show me the world. Our first international trip together was to Peru, where he proposed to me at the epic World Wonder of Machu Picchu. For our honeymoon, we went on an Iceland road trip, then finished off with a few days in Paris & London. More recently, we rang in the new year in Chile & Argentina, backpacking through the beautiful regions of Patagonia. We long to travel more but adult priorities (buying a home, starting a family & “settling down”) are slowly beginning to hold us back. A special getaway to break that sense of direction would help us to realize it is still possible to live out our life duties & continue to fulfill our wanderlust with more adventures! ❤️✈️ #PPLoveInTheAir @passionpassport @QatarAirways

İzlanda’da en çok ilgimizi çeken şeylerden biri buzullardı. Kış aylarında İzlanda’da buzul tırmanışı ve buzul mağarası turları yapılıyor. Güney İzlanda’da Skaftafell Milli parkı muhteşem buzulların bulunduğu alan. İnternetten Artic adventures adlı firmadan bu turu aldık. Reykjavik’ten 326 km. Bizim kaldığımız Vik kasabasından ise 140 km. uzaklıkta. (Özel bot kiralama ile birlikte 2 kişi 1800 tl. tuttu.) Sabah 9.30 randevusuna yetişebilmek için fırtına da yola çıktık, buraya gelene kadar yolda 2 saat boyunca 1 araba bile görmedik Fırtınanın durması, buzul yürüyüşü olabilmesi için dua ettik ve çok şükür dindi Milli parkta firmaların kulübeleri var. Burada bilgilendirme yapılıyor ve ekipman veriliyor. Dağcılık ekipmanları, botlar altına geçirilen çivili aparat, dağcı kazmalarımızı alıp yola çıktık. Yaklaşık 1 saatlik trekking sonrası buzullara varabildik. Gördüğümüz manzara o kadar etkileyiciydi ki... Önümüzde kristal gibi parlıyordu❄️❄️ Buza ilk adım çok başarılı olmasa da türlü patinajlardan sonra 10 dakika da alışabildik Taktik topuktan tüm gücünle buza saplamakmış ☺️☺️ Yine de yürüyebilmek o kadar kolay olmadı tabiki. Bizi gezdiren rehber en az 10 kere işini çok sevdiğini ve çok şanslı olduğunu söylemiştir. Sevilmeyecek gibi değil ki Yolda dağlardan birkaç defa buzlar düştü, tırssak da buzul mağarasına ulaştık.Buzul mağarası bir dahaki paylaşıma olsun.
