Today I’m working on being kinder to myself and braver with my voice... it can be hard in the world we live in today to not feel an inordinate amount of pressure to be, feel, act, look, and believe a certain way...to only show the world certain sides of ourselves. We get lost in a myriad of “shoulds” because of the insane amount of judgement being throw in all directions it sometimes feels risky to show up fully as oneself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For years I’ve been trying to do small things to reduce my impact of the environment but I don’t share about it that often because anytime I do I get told all the ways I’m inadequate and “should” be doing more so I’ve stayed relatively silent. While I am grateful for the opportunity to grow and improve- I am human. I am doing my best. For all of those of you out there doing your best too- I see you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve be practicing yoga for nearly 12 years now and teaching for over 6... I’ve done close to 1500hrs of trainings and yet, I’ve felt inadequate to claim myself as an established teacher on this platform. The lingering fear that I’m not old enough to be taken seriously gnawing at me. I’m ready to set aside my fear and claim this truth from my heart. To all those of you out there afraid to step into your light for fear you don’t deserve it.. I see you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m extremely passionate about health and wellness. For years I’ve studied nutrition and how the body works... I’m literally a black hole of random health facts.. and yet, I still have my own health struggles. It’s easy to feel inadequate.. to think, who would want to take health advice from some who still struggles themselves? and yet, I know how many people I’ve been able to help by sharing what I’ve learned. To those of you out there with healer hearts afraid to share your gifts because you “don’t have it all figured out yet”- I see you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This post could go on forever. I could list all the ways fear of judgement has stunted me but instead I’ll leave this here... and maybe, just maybe, together we can face our fears. All of you ready to stop letting judgement hold you back from being the fullest version of yourself. I see you.
