A day late because we were having too much fun yesterday, but: 6 YEARS of married life with this wonderful man of mine!!! I almost can’t believe it! This year is the sweetest year of them all since we are celebrating for the first time with lil miss Paloma Rose on this side of my belly! I shot these photos of us amid the cherry blossoms a few weeks ago, and I’m so glad I was able to capture a few good ones with the tripod...these are precious memories that we will treasure for years to come☺️✨

The most dreamy beach day to capture some magical frames with @ashleycarolinephoto and little miss Paloma ... we waited an age seemingly to get a sunny day, and we were rewarded with a beautiful golden glow

“Remember when you fell and I picked you up? Remember when the only way you’d fall asleep is to the sound of my voice? Remember when we’d snuggle up and read story after story while listening to the raindrops pitter patter on the rooftop?” It’s the little things that we forget as life goes on & it’s the little things that make life so full. Zoom in if you’re really into cute baby hands, can you feel how soft they are? And can we talk about those dimples for a hot second?

Had a late breakfast which doubled as an early lunch - a Reuben for him, a chicken Caesar wrap for me, a pouch of fruit and veg for the little one. Washed it all down with big glugs of water while browsing various sundries at shops in downtown Mystic. Then strolled across the drawbridge and down to the docks for a leisurely cruise around the Sound with Captain Erick of @mysticrivercruises in his magnificently kept 1947 wooden motorboat clad in gleaming mahogany with burnished brass fittings. The sun was shining, the breeze blowing, the water sparkling and the conversation engaging. It turned out to be a splendid way to spend an afternoon. Not to mention Paloma had the run of the boat since it was just the four of us! Highly recommend booking with Captain Erick if you’re planning a trip to Mystic⛵️#bggtravels

I get asked a lot who my second shooter is for weddings. The answer is my best friend and husband, Cameron. Cam is a software engineer for his full time career, but he loves photography and needs that creative outlet just as much as I do. He’s definitely the yin to my yang and we’ve found that we work really well together as a team! I love looking through his images after a wedding day and I often find myself saying- cam, you got the exact shot I needed from that angle and I love it! We’ve got weddings booked (yayyy!) and I’m so excited to get to work more alongside him and share more of his work. I photographed 16 families last week at my favorite location in the next town over. I never thought I would be the one to offer mini sessions throughout the year, but each time I do them, the better I become & the more I fall in love with them.They’re 10 minute sessions for families to attend and have a small handful of updated portraits of their growing family. And if we’re lucky, we can sprinkle in some fun artistic shots too (my fave!). It’s quite fascinating to see how we change in just a year. Especially the kiddos! For us, the adults....not so fascinating I’m excited to announce that I will be offering beach mini sessions this summer in August. Details to come next month!
