“HOW DO I ACHIEVE A TIGHT/SMALL WAIST & THICK LOWER BODY?” “HOW DO YOU KEEP A SMALL WAIST DURING BULKING?” Left is me during my cut, very high maintenance routine lifting 6x a week, cardio 4-5x a week, eating in a deficit, only home cooked meals, right is me re-starting a bulk, low maintenance routine, lifting 5x a week, minimal to no cardio, enjoying more food, and more variety. Prob 2 almost 3 inches difference in the waist. People with a small frame, fast metabolism, may look like they’re not gaining in these places, but they are! The many times I’ve answered these questions, I like to be nothing but real with my followers. You gotta focus on one thing at the time! Eat in a calorie deficit, and lift to gain muscle, depending on your own personal way of lifting you might need to add cardio. Yes you can build some lean muscle while trying to achieve a smaller waist, but for this you have to have the right division of macros and be on point with it. However gaining some lean muscle mass won’t look the way most of you want it to look, I feel like a lot of people confuse gaining muscle, with gaining muscle AND fat. When you’re trying to slim your waist you’re losing fat, and you CAN’T choose where the fat comes off from. This is where genetics/body types either work in your favor or against you. Some genetics/body types hold most of the fat in the lower body (that’s me), some hold it in their belly areas, some hold it in their upper body. So when I gain some extra fat, it could seem like they “wow I just gained a lot of muscle only in my lower body” - NO. I just gained extra fat, and it looks like muscle because I have lots of muscle built under there from the past years I’ve been lifting. In reality, muscle takes a long time to build up, UNLESS you’re a newbie (first time training), you’ll build muscle faster. So this achieving “slim waist, thick thighs” thing takes time. You could achieve many changes in two years, I achieved most of mine in that period of time, after that things just take more time, and more patience! You have to focus on one thing at the time. And remember your results are YOUR results. Everyone is genetically different!!
