See below for thoughts + Quad Workout: Pistol Squats Close Stance SM Squats Front Racked KB Step Ups Front Squat into Military Press Front Squat Calf Leg Press + I am showing this bc I saw it on IG and attempted it. The weight was great for military press. But, it was WAYYY to light for my front squat. So, I wasn't feeling anything in my lower body. Plus, the hand placement needed for a press vs front squat is completely different, so the BB wasn't ideal. I tried to speed up my tempo & increase my reps to see if that would push me. But, my form ended up getting sloppy and my butt was winking. So, I did traditional front squats instead. Just wanted to remind everyone that a lot of fitness accounts show very unique movements that are... well bullshit . I'm NOT saying that this one was at all (I'm going to modify it w/ a KB next time)!! But, please remember to be cautious while attempting exercises you see on social media. If something doesn't feel right or the content producer didn't post form tips (I rarely do bc I am not an expert) then research more information on your own or ask a #CPT. I've been weight lifting for 4.5 years and I STILL pull out my phone to search for PROPER FORM TIPS ALLLLL THE TIME in the gym. Increase the weight as you decrease the reps and don’t rest until you complete one whole set — swipe to see an example of how tough the last 10 reps of the set should be to help gauge what weight you should use Single-arm cable rows (4 x 12) | keep your elbow tucked to your side and a 90 degree angle with your body while breathing in as you pull toward you and exhaling as it moves away Bent-over T bar rows (4 x 10) | try not to arch your back, elbows tucked and pause at the top for a sec for an extra buuuurn Lat pull down (4 x 10) | for the first 5 pull the bar down, hold for a second and slowly let it rise back up, then regular for the remaining reps - - - Outfit: @brianakcollection [gifted]

♥ BEST DAY = BACK DAY ♥ • It’s MONDAY and I’m excited to share with you a new workout to start out your week with! Remember to push yourself! • Today’s challenge is a Low Impact Back Workout - 8x4 workout. A fun and new way to complete a workout efficiently. I say efficiently because this can be done in under 40 minutes (you can always add rounds if you want it to be longer), but this can be super efficient if you keep your body moving. • Tag your friends, challenge them, and get this done in the comfort of your own home or outside to get a little extra Vitamin D! No extra equipment needed, but a yoga mat is helpful especially if you do this outside!! • Today’s 8x4 Workout:  1️⃣ Plank Row 2️⃣ Swimmers 3️⃣ Overhead Pull with Leg Raise - the overhead pull engages your back extensors at the back so remember to relax your shoulders down while bringing your arms overhead. 4️⃣ High Plank Reaches 5️⃣ Superman Swimmers 6️⃣ Side Plank Reach Through 7️⃣Opposite Arm Opposite Leg Reaches - start on all 4’s and reach the opposite arm forward as the opposite leg extends back. This extends through your back and also engages the core for balance. 8️⃣Full Body Roll Up • ⏩⏩ Swipe to see each exercise broken down!! ____________________________________ ** Equipment: Sweat towel, yoga mat, and a water bottle.  ____________________________________ WORKOUT:  8x4 Protocol: 8 exercises, 4 rounds, 60 seconds each. • A couple quick notes : This back workout is meant to also work your core. Remember that your core and back kinetic chain are all connected. So if you are looking to work the core, you also need to train the opposing back muscles.
