Demo of my “caveman power hack” to make the #audiodamage Aeverb MkII reverb module realistically usable in a system. For those unaware, some of the Audio Damage MKII modules have a design that makes them picky about what power supply they use (most switching types not good, linear types seem ok) where if there is a slight delay before the -12v rail comes on the module will randomly not work. Turning the power off/on one to several times can get it working but that’s not good for several reasons. A little more sanding but I think I have this built up and shimmed to something visually ok now I could pretty this all up but this is what I feel is genuine to making it work In the the real world on a salvage operation. Cleanup isn't always pretty and I am working closely with the painter who is honestly better at making this pretty than I am. Everything outside the shower was done by the builder. Inside the shower is what I have done. These homeowners had dealt with a mess and I wanted to make it right. Always room for improvement but from what I had to start with I believe the homeowners are happy with the end result. And at the end of the day that’s what matters.
