*LONG POST ALERT* (sorry) . It’s been a while since I’ve shown or talked about my tableware and I realise for some of you, it is probably the first you’ve heard about it. . I was prompted to share today after another extraordinary coincidence at the weekend. You may remember that I was reacquainted with an old colleague at my stall @fairinthesquaren6 in June. We followed up and met for lunch on Friday as she, Jill, was staying again with her friends in Highgate. It was lovely to catch up on 25 + years and after lunch, Jill suggested I come and meet her friends. We went into the garden and there they were, EATING THEIR LUNCH OFF THESE VERY PLATES! . It turns out that they had bought two sets from me with neither of us being aware of the connection to follow. It was very special to see them being used (I should have taken a picture but I was so excited and stunned that I didn’t think!) #smallworld . So since you too could be eating breakfast, lunch and/or dinner off these very plates , here’s some more about them ... . I mentioned at the beginning of the year that very sadly, it was proving more hassle and money than I could bear or afford and so very sadly, I’ve stopped having any more made. There is ‘Catch of the Day’ - a set of 4 x dinner and side plates, telling the story of a hapless fly fisherman and ‘Desserts are on Me’, a set of 6 x dessert plates inspired by Monty Python and Fornasetti. All can be bought individually (each of the ‘Catch of the Day’ pairs are supplied in gorgeous matt black gift boxes), are fine bone china, dishwasher proof and have been hand made in Stoke on Trent.
