Learning to love ourselves, again, can be so hard when our “inner dialogue” (or voice) reflects the hot, dumpster-fire-of-trash narratives we hear in our world. The ones that consistently tell us there’s something wrong with us. That we are “too much” or “not enough.” We’re too loud (because “people like us” are always too loud.) Too sensitive (because we feel). Too unwell (because depression, anxiety and mental illness immediately make us “too unwell” for life). Too queer. Not queer enough. Not “womxn” enough. Not “man” enough. Too brown. Not brown enough. .
.
To all the folks practicing radical self-love, I see you. It is hard work to tell ourselves a new story about ourselves —even as the old one is playing in the background. to interrupt the old with the validation and compassion we rarely received. Shout out to you for apologizing to yourself for all the unkind words. For reminding yourselves of your love. Of your commitment to love. Because you deserve this. Yes, you deserve this, ya’ll. You deserve to feel loved, by ourselves, for ourselves. .

[image is an illustration of a person of colour with shoulder-length blue/purple hair, looking at themself in the mirror. Their shirt says “Radical Self Love” on the back. Their text bubble says “I’m sorry I hurt you.” Their reflection in the mirrors’ text bubble reads: “ it’s okay —you are learning to love me.”
With yourself and with others. Trust is built over time and with experience. Thanks @__propheta__ .

Well how’s that for some self-compassion Read that gem again.
There is nothing WRONG with you. And if you feel like there is, it just means that you’re still running on the same energetic program that you used to survive in childhood. You survived it, like we all do, but you still have to connect the dots between what you went through in childhood and how it impacted you in order to gain insight into why you are still in an energy defensive state, preventing true love from getting in.
Once we connect the dots and start seeing why and how we got here as an adult, we shed the shame and start feeling safe to let take these walls back down. We shift out of survival mode as we begin to feel safe to show up as our truest selves.
You are NOT flawed, you are just running on an outdated program!
You owe it to yourself to take the steps to heal. You are so worthy and deserving of love, but you have to show up and learn to give it yourSELF before you will be ready to it in from anyone else.
It all starts with you.

When it comes to emotional eating, the only way to truly heal is to address the triggers beneath.
Sometimes they might be easy to identify and many times they’re so subtle or so much of a part of who we are that we don’t have the ability to see them or feel them separate from ourselves.
Through my own personal struggles, I’ve developed specific EFT tapping techniques that are designed to identify and and heal the triggers causing emotional eating, binging and food cravings. Getting down to the root so real healing can take place once and for all.
I’d love to show you these targeted techniques personally. There are still 2 spots available in my Think and Thin Advanced program. Click the link in my bio to apply and we can see if will be a good fit.

I’m not sure if realizing my worth was something that was a coming of age thing, or a surviving abuse and building myself back up thing. I would imagine it was some of each.
As a teenager and growing up I was always very self conscious and doubted myself. Couldn’t take a compliment. Seemed to gravitate toward people who got enjoyment out of making fun of me or getting a rise out of me or people who were just unavailable to me. I thought I had to prove myself to them and that would mean I won or had done well.
I shake my head now thinking about that::
I used to seek so much outside validation from people who didn’t even deserve me!
As I’ve worked on loving myself and improving myself and putting trust in the universe, I’ve realized that the right people will come into your life without effort and they’ll stick around. It just takes a lot of patience and self love to get there. People who match your energy will come into your life for a reason!
