So my videographer skills need some work, but I’m going to share this anyway! I get asked a lot about my finishing techniques, and I was working on a little weave yesterday and thought I’d film some of my process. . This is how I usually do a hemstich - I use this to finish the edges of my weave (top and bottom.) It not only makes a nice clean finish, but it also secures the edges of your weave. To do this, you need to do a row of twining, and then just a few rows of tabby. Once that is done, take a length of warp and tie a knot on the furthest warp string. Using a needle, run the string under the first two warp strings, come back, then go under again but this time go under your row of twining as well. Do this all the way across and tie it off at the other end! I picked this up from @hellohydrangea ‘s weaving class a couple of years back, but you can also find lots of tutorials on these techniques on YouTube. .
