Guidelines are your friend! • • When I’m working on a design, I’m happy to use guidelines so that my work looks neat and tidy and has the “flow” I’m looking for. There’s nothing more frustrating to me than doing something beautiful I love and then ruining it with a strangely shaped vine or or a wonky flower. • • Does it matter if your design is less than perfect? Of course not. You don’t need to be a machine. But will you feel a little better if your henna design is nicely proportioned and well laid out? I think so! • • What I’m saying? Use your henna cone to sketch out helping guidelines if you want to, there’s no shame in it. Also. 9 times out of 10? The guidelines will be completely disguised once you place the henna down. • • I thought you might benefit from seeing the henna being done and the finished result, so swipe to see the next pic. Oh! Henné Comment ça marche ? . . ➡️ Le henné utilisé est naturel, le rendu final est plutôt Brun/Rouge en fonction du pH de votre peau. ➡️ La pose est à faire idéalement 48:00 avant l’événement afin d’obtenir une jolie couleur le jour J. ➡️ Une fois la pose effectuée, je protège le henné pour vous faciliter les mouvements et surtout pour garder la croûte en contact avec votre peau pendant 6 heures en moyenne. . ➡️ Une fois l’avoir gardé assez longtemps, il ne faut surtout pas laver le henné à l’eau ❌ . ➡️ Il faut le gratter, vous verrez qu’au début, le henné aura une couleur orangée, c’est tout à fait normal. If you are struggling with you straight lines? Try this technique. You can see I’m not touching the cone to the surface, I’m “draping” it! Wanna know why draping helps? It does all the hard work for you! You can draw near perfect straight lines when you drape! 1. If your paste or cone aren’t perfect? Draping is hard. 2. It’s not possible to do unless your surface is flat. (Trying to do this on an arm while someone is standing up? Tricky) 3. Body hair gets in the way massively. Draping gets distorted when the hairs catch the henna. 4. You can’t go too fast or too slow or squeeze too hard or too soft. Practice draping lines until you figure out your speed and pressure, and when you do? Practice some more. 5. If you are struggling to drape and don’t know what’s happening? Take a video and send it to me in a Dm, it’s much easier for me to help you when I can see you work! Ps.
