WONDERFUL WILD FLOWERS! . . I’m so lucky to live somewhere with such an abundance of wildflowers! These were collected at the weekend to make a variety of delicious floral treats and I couldn’t resist making a little #mandala with all those colours! . . Someone recently asked me about the #sustainability of picking wild flowers. It’s a really interesting and important topic and I’d love to know what you think! . . ✨ Personally, I think that foraging puts the responsibility back in our hands. Food production in general isn’t very sustainable. I trust myself to act as respectfully as possible ( much more than I trust the CEOs of huge food production companies). By picking just a few flowers from each plant, and leaving unopened buds, I feel satisfied that I’m acting in a way that’s kind to our planet and pollinators! ✨

I spent yesterday in the shop with @leah_lucky76 wrapping these gorgeous soaps and talking about plants, gardening, nature and the @wildwomenherbs apprenticeship. I’m looking forward to taking the Wild Women out into nature tomorrow to hunt for local plant medicine. These Saturdays with the ladies have turned into such a fun, joyous gathering and I dearly look forward to them each week. I can’t believe it’ll be our 4th week together tomorrow! I won’t reveal what we’ll be learning about yet but will be sure to post all about our adventures and what we learned later this weekend. . . Speaking of... I’m thinking about moving all the Wild Women Herbs stuff to this page instead of keeping two separate accounts. What are your thoughts? Would it be easier to follow along if you’re not having to keep track of two different accounts? I’m sure having a tough time managing two business accounts I can’t image what it’s like trying to follow me on two separate feeds with these funky algorithms ‍♀️ So should I merge them together and post all about our adventures here on this page? . .
