Our proposal for the X2 high-rise in Aarhus, Denmark. We included an exhibition hall on the ground floor and an art installation at 126 meters. Sculpted to transition from large office floor plates to more slender residential plates above, the proposed 66-storey tower at 1075 Bay will revitalize the Bloor-Yorkville skyline.

The iconic Trellick Tower is often captured from its south facing side showing the famous grid of recessed balconies. But in my recent visit and tour of this incredible building I was blown away by seeing the detail of the northern facade. Bedroom windows sit above and below the intersecting access corridors which project from the lift core into the main tower. The three-dimensional expression of this looked so powerful and so intricate at the same time. It really took me by surprise because I’ve only seen a few photos of this side, but photos do not do justice to how impressive it is. The Brandon Estate behind Kennington Park South London. Six 18 storey blocks in generous but rather uninteresting open green space. Some friends had one of these flats so Have been inside. Well laid out 2 bedroom flats. Balcony connects the main bedroom and living room across the second bedroom giving the user external circulation space allowing a circular route throughout the flat, which feels great in Summer. Very interesting bed sitter penthouses which are perched on the roof like pitched roof portacabins surrounded by private terraces. Not been in one of these but would like to......designed by Edward Hollamby of the LCC architect’s department built 1957-1961. This is too cute not to share... ⛟⛟⛟ Floor plans (and renderings, swipe-swipe) of the 1994 Hansapank HQ competition entry by Irina Raud's office R-Konsult, with co-authors Tarmo Õkva, Meelis Nurm & Marju Nurm. This competition was notable for numerous reasons. First, for really reinforcing the reputation of a new generation of Estonian architects spearheaded by competition winners Andres Siim and Hanno Kreis. Secondly, for including the renowned Danish architect Henning Larsen in the jury, who famously - and very strongly - panned many of the entries. And thirdly, for nearly all the presented renderings having been computer-generated! Ironically, what we have in our collection are actually negatives... of photocopies... of these renderings...
