I’m admittedly going out of my comfort zone with posting this because it’s really not a great quality photo - there’s only so much you can do sometimes when a raw file is super dark and grainy, and this one was exceptionally bad but i spent so much time in lightroom messing with it and i think he looks super goofy so I wanted to try and give it a spot on my feed. If it ends up flopping then oh well, i can always archive it and keep it for myself

Can you tell how proud he is about the fact that he decided to give himself an orange dye job? I’m a very in-the-moment person, so when Beau started rolling and making whale noises in the Georgia red dirt, I was too amused to think about the fact that he’d need to be cleaned later - and then we spent 20 minutes pouring water on him and rubbing him down before he got back in the Jeep we had a great time though and that’s all that matters. I had him off leash because we were literally the only ones there after 3pm and he earned some brownie points by holding a sit-stay while a group of (deer who knows) dashed right in front of us and into the trees. I literally don’t know what animals they were though - i was focused on Beau holding his stay and only got a quick glance and thought I saw whitetail butts, but Jacob says they looked like corgis? so we may never know

Finding good off-roading trails is hard in GA, but “dog dad” Jacob is exceptionally good at it. Unfortunately, this one was washed out at the end (literally right in front of the road we needed to get out on) so we had to turn around and go all the way back out the way we came We saw a group of wild hogs back there (beau was deadass asleep in the back and had no clue lol) and i think we may have pissed off some yellow jackets because we had some angry guys attacking the windshield the entire time. Also, Beau is officially an orange cheeto puff after yesterday’s canyon adventures didn’t realize Georgia red clay was so tough to get out of white fur but i should’ve expected it.

It was love at first sight for Beau and his new moose When I gave it to him he spent a solid 15 minutes prancing in circles around the yard with it in his mouth and we had to bribe him with treats so he wouldn’t eat it for this picture. I want to say a HUGE thank you to @moosewears for for generously hosting the giveaway through which we were able to win all these beautifully handcrafted items! I am blown away by the quality and they will definitely be put to great use :)

Rainy days don’t bother this guy; they just mean that he gets a break from the 90 degree weather! I’m not a huge fan of the rain because with it comes some nasty humidity... but I do love how it brings out some of the animals you don’t normally see (box turtles!) and how cool and misty it makes everything look. Today is supposed to be our last day of rain for awhile, fingers crossed, because i really want to go camping soon.
